Samuel L. Jackson Teases An MIND-BLOWING Plot Twist For This Marvel Villain
Samuel L. Jackson aka Nick Fury has been out of action in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Avengers: Age Of Ultron. The actor has recently been vocal about his interest in returning for Infinity War. While many assumed that Fury died, that may not be the case, in fact, it may be a whole other storyline that was not shown on screen.
During a recent interview with Hot 97 led by Ebro Darden, Samuel L. Jackson accidentally spilled out secrets from MCU, including the return of one famous Captain America villain. Jackson said:
“You didn’t see me in Civil War. I’m still out there trying to figure out what The Skull is going to…”
Jackson had been quite at ease with the conversational interview, so he might have just let slip a little tidbit that was not for public ears. Jackson quickly realized the error he made, not continuing with the sentence that he was saying. In the Marvel world, there has only been one reference to a Skull, and that would be Red Skull. And the last we saw of Red Skull, he was trapped within the Tesseract.
With Avengers: Infinity War including every other character from the past phases, could Red skull also be the next villain to appear in the film? Thanos could have taken hold of all the Infinity Stones, including the Tesseract and very well released the imprisoned Red Skull to become a part of his minions.
Red Skull was a part of the Nazi regime and team Hydra, so he would definitely be attracted to the lure of a powerful, charismatic villain like Thanos and his utter disposition to destroy The Avengers. Jackson, on the other hand, aid that he was unsure if Nick Fury will be making a return into the Marvel world, especially in Infinity. He had previously talked of his exclusion in Black Panther and how disappointed he was with it.
