Gone are the day when we used to watch movies in monochromatic impression. Undoubtedly, films with actual color impressions do fascinate everybody, but you didn’t know that some modern day films look really scary when colored in black and white. We bring you five films that would look more agitating in black and white.

1) It Follows( 2015)

The super psychological horror movie scared the Jesus out of the viewers. It is based on a girl followed by a supernatural entity. Well, some of its scenes like walking grandma and half naked bring more weight into the scenes, when to frame in monochrome.

2) Night Crawler(2014)

It is a neo-noir crime thriller film based on a Los Angeles denizen Louis Bloom – played by Jake Gyllenhaal, who become a cameraman after scavenging and doing petty thefts. Considering how people have ache this film in color, there are several scenes if colored in monochrome could have brought more deep and sharp impact. One of the scenes includes when Bloom screams while looking at the mirror could have been more intense in black and white.

3) Se7en (1995)

Se7en is a neo-noir psychological thriller film, in which a serial killer starts killing people as per the seven deadly sins, with two detectives tasked to arrest the criminal. The taking scene in the car and the one in a field just look more powerful.

4) The Mist (2007)

The film is based on a horror novella by the American author Stephen King. It is about a city encapsulated in the unnatural mist, which brings otherworldly monsters, extreme tensions among the people. The movie has a good scope to try the monochrome in most of the scenes.

5) The Thing(1982)

This science fiction horror film would definitely bring the shit out of you. It is about a group of scientists which discover a place in Antarctica. It is filled with lots of nasty and scary scenes which watched in black and white would definitely look intense.
