In a futuristic 21st-century era, crop blight on Earth has made farming increasingly difficult and threatens humanity’s survival. Twelve volunteers traveled through it to assess each planet’s suitability as humanity’s new home, and from there they have sent back encouraging data from planets near a black hole called Gargantua.

The Endurance also carries 5,000 frozen embryos for the “Plan B” backup plan, which is to colonize a habitable planet to ensure humanity’s survival.

With limited fuel, the crew chooses Mann’s planet over Edmunds’ as the next stop, since Mann is still transmitting. Then, while out together surveying the planet.

The movies take you to the most unimagined world and it let you keep guessing the next move.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is a 2012 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Lorene Scafaria.

In New York City, after a news report that a mission to stop an incoming asteroid has failed, as a result, the asteroid will make an impact in three weeks, destroying all life on Earth.

Dodge Petersen (Steve Carell) listen to the broadcast from the side of the road. While everyone around him reacts differently to the news, Dodge’s life has not changed at all.

After attending a friend’s wild party, on the way to his home Dodge, he notices his neighbor Penny (Keira Knightley) crying on the fire escape, as she just broke up with her boyfriend.

They enter to Penny’s apartment. As the two lie in bed, Penny is scared, knowing that, in only moments, human life on Earth will be annihilated. Dodge distracts her by asking her to tell him of her childhood. They feel and hear a deep booming sound, thinking that they had known each other sooner. When they feel and hear a second deep, promising each other that they would save each other, Finally, Penny smiles as the screen fades to white.

Miracle Mile is a 1988 American apocalyptic thriller film written and directed by Steve De Jarnatt.

The film takes place in a single day and night. The film is about the two strangers who fell in love at first sight. They make a plan to date after her shift ends at midnight at a local coffee shop, but a power failure happened, as a result, his alarm fails to wake him in the meantime he went to a pay phone.

When the phone rings moments later he picks it up, hearing a frantic man telling his dad that nuclear war is about to break out in less than seventy minutes.

Harry, confused and not entirely convinced of the reality of the information. He met the girl and they reach the top of the Mutual Benefit building.

As the helicopter sinks and the cabin fills with natural asphalt tar; he tries to comfort her.
A final explosion seems to imply a direct hit has taken place.

These Final Hours is a 2013 Australian apocalyptic thriller film written and directed by Zak Hilditch.

The movie starts ten minutes after a meteor has collided with earth in the North Atlantic. James and his lover, Zoe, are having sex for the last time at her beach house, where she reveals that she’s pregnant.

James then heads to the party with his girlfriend. When James finally comes back outside to find Rose, she is hallucinating and vomiting, with the woman leaning over her. She is initially hostile towards James, however, the two quickly reconcile and confess their mutual love. The pair then embraces, and turn towards the ocean as they are consumed by the firestorm.

The Day After is an American television film that first aired on November 20, 1983.

This television film is made at the time of cold war and it is about the danger of nuclear weapon. The Soviet Union is shown to have commenced a military buildup in East Germany (which the Soviets insist are Warsaw Pact exercises) with the goal of intimidating the United States (and Great Britain and France) into withdrawing from West Berlin. When the United States does not back down, Soviet armored divisions are sent to the border between West and East Germany.

This movie shows the life of people before the war, during the war, and after the war.

5) This is the End:

This Is the End is a 2013 American comedy film directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Jay Baruchel arrives in Los Angeles to visit with an old friend to attend a housewarming party hosted by James, he was not enjoying the party so went to a store for a packet of cigarette.

At the store, beams of blue light come down and suck numerous people into the sky. Leaving the world in the food crisis, and leaving the devil’s mouth.

On the Beach is a 1959 science fiction drama film from United Artists, produced and directed by Stanley Kramer.

The film is based on Nevil Shute’s 1957 novel of the same name depicting a nuclear war and its aftermath. During 1964, in the months following World War III, the conflict has devastated the Northern Hemisphere, polluting the atmosphere with nuclear fallout, killing all life there.

The world comes to a situation where people want to end their life, it shows the outcome of the nuclear war. After 57 years of its release, this movie is still relevant.

3) Last Night

Last Night is a 1998 Canadian comedy-drama film directed by Don McKellar.

It tells the story of how people in the film chose to spend their final evening on Earth. Some of them their last evening alone, others with loved ones, others in prayer, others in public mayhem, and still others at raucous festivities.

Melancholia is a 2011 science-fiction drama thriller film written and directed by Lars von Trier.

The film is divided into two halves, titled “Justine” and “Claire.” It appears that the two sisters exchange personalities, but to no great effect.

The new planet is seen and it is going to collide with the Earth.

Dr. Strangelove is a 1964 political satire comedy movie about the Cold War fears of a nuclear conflict between the USSR and the USA.

The story revolve around how United States Air Force general who orders a first strike nuclear attack on the Soviet Union, and the President of the United States, his advisers, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and a Royal Air Force (RAF) officer as they try to recall the bombers to prevent a nuclear apocalypse.
