Wolverine 3 is Officially Confirmed to be an R-Rated movie

The Australian superstar Hugh Jackman is very excited and emotional at the same time about playing Logan/Wolverine now that the final standalone movie of the franchise has begun filming. It will be directed by none other than James Mangold. He has given over a decade of his life to this character and has played it like a boss. He has been revered by both critics and fans for his masterful performances in successive X-Men and independent Wolverine movies.

Wolverine

It’s almost unimaginable to even think of any other actor besides Hugh Jackman to bring this character to life on screen. Although Mr. Jackman floated the name of Tom Hardy to be his successor. It’s almost confirmed that his character is inspired by “Old Man Logan” story which is based in dystopian future where villains finally prevailed after Wolverine was caught in a trap laid down by Mysterio. Simon Kinberg, the producer, revealed to Collider that Wolverine 3 will be R-rated. He further said “It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any” of these movies. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.” One important detail shared by Hugh Jackman with the fans on twitter was that we might see “berserker rage” of Wolverine in the last one. It’s a mental state when he turns absolutely crazy, goes on a rampage, without thinking about the moral consequences of the act.

 Wolverine

Another news that came out earlier was that the actor Boyd Holbrook (Narcos fame) will be playing big villain in the movie. His character has been described as “a relentless, calculating and intense head of Security for a global enterprise who is set against clawed hero”. Could he be Sabretooth? Not really, but fans can continue to hope for it.

The final wolverine movie is tentatively going to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
