The Wind Spells a ‘YES’

Sometimes, for a specific few, the sky snows amidst the fall of autumn. For some, there pours rain beneath the burning sun of summer too. Feet burning or bodies dripping does not bother the hearts clinging. Together, for at everything that it takes is worth it. The smiles that you get to witness after the little court-trial are worth the effort. Everything given away doesn’t even seem like a sacrifice. Amongst everything that seems to be going the wrong way, you do find a turn that changes everything for you. It’s more like a trail that seems to be leading nowhere, one which loses a little happiness to it with every step you walk further, one which seems to go emptier with every next move you make, while that one turn you take, changes everything for you, big time. It suddenly changes the paths to the most beautiful ones ever. The trees are pretty with green leaves that blow cool wind through your hair, pretty flowers that bloom over those trees, that bring you in towards them, everything about that place draws you in. Most of all, the beauty of it is the little butterflies that keep dancing around the whole time, from one flower to another, from one of your thoughts to another. That little turn you take in the woods, just completely changes the entire walk for you.

The thing that is to be thought about is whether it is really that the place changes or we decide to look at it in a different way?  Is it that we really land up in a place like that all by ourselves or are we walked into it by someone else, holding our hand? Is it really us who takes the leap or we take the ride along with someone else. Is it really about our own hearts or about that one person who fills in all the emptiness that our hearts are tired of?

I don’t know if we’d ever get any answers to that but what I do know is that there comes a time when we meet someone we fall in love with, not straight away, but with time eloping on us. We meet someone, become friends with them and gradually, the pace takes a toll on us to make us fall in love completely. There does come a day, when we realize, that it doesn’t matter if we know what sort of a love is that until the time we are extremely and not pretentiously happy. The smile that we get right after waking up in the morning only because of one thought about them, or probably because of something they had said the previous night, or even without having a precise reason, we know it straight that we are happy and into something we just don’t wish to let go off. I don’t wish to let go of this. This is most precisely the happiest moment I’ve ever been in.

Maybe I don’t feel the butterflies, maybe the moment is not playing entirely in my head, over and over again but for what it’s true, the smile doesn’t agree to leave me for even a single moment. Not more than twenty-four hours ago, I was right amidst a pool of tears. Even so, the people I had wanted to hide it from, were the ones to catch up with everything that my voice was protruding with. Still not agreeing to the little fact he had precisely caught, I let things go on. There’s this one quote I read that it’s extremely hard to answer the question “what’s wrong?” when nothing at all seems to be going right. You chose to keep shut when you know nothing about what’s going on in your own head. Just when it all seems to be totally empty, even when it’s filled up the brim, that is when you know that something is seriously wrong. The question arises that how are we ever supposed to figure out what exactly went wrong. Do we have a trail to that too? I never came down to understand that for before I could have a treasure hunt, its location, its trails, the clues, every little thing that was possible was changed.

There comes a time when you finally open your eyes to see the dim light, the way you like it. Not the one that blinds you down, not the one that doesn’t allow to be able to see anything, just the one that I the way you like it. Sometimes, all that happens is that you are there, right in someone’s arms and you feel complete. You finally feel like yourself again, only for the things that troubled you don’t entirely go away but are overruled by the love that pours in.

You just look right into their eyes, and that is it. That is where you find everything you’d ever wanted. That is where you find yourself again, after having lost the one thing you loved, YOU.

That is when you just sit there, look at them, and know that ‘this is it.’ That is what we call love. Unconditional and not reasoned.
