Jay Garrick is set to appear in Flash Season 2

Jason Garrick has long been a super-speedster, capable of running at a speed of light. The character of Jay Garrick was introduced during DC’s Earth-Two publication, after the events of “Crisis on Infinite Earths”. He is going to be played by actor Teddy Sears (of Masters of Sex fame) in the Flash TV show. He is likely to appear in the episode 2 of season 2 titled “Flash of Two Worlds”. He would come from Earth-2 vortex opened in the aftermath of ‘Singularity’ event during the last episode of previous season, to give a warning to Team Flash that an evil speedster namely Zoom is hell-bent on destroying The Flash.

He has been a prominent scientist who worked at Chemical Research Inc, before founding Keystone based Garrick Laboratories. He has mentored many super-heroes over several generations. In his childhood, he used to fantasize about super-hero Whirlwind endowed with super-speed, little did he know that he would also become a speedster in the future.  He was an active member of Justice Society of America. He would go into retirement, only to come back to help Barry or Wally West from Professor Zoom (Eobard Thawne) or Zoom (Hunter Zolomon) and other villains in the Flash universe.

He is very proficient in physics and chemistry and is blessed with an exceptional array of powers such as accelerated healing, decelerated ageing, creating solid objects through speed force conduits, heightened sensory perceptions, increased level of strength & stamina, vortex creations, ability to steal speed of objects or people, sharing speed force with family members and limited flight capabilities.

The Flash season 2 will come on CW network from Oct 6th, 2015.
