Steven Spielberg unleashed the first Jurassic Park film back in 1993. It was an adaptation of Michael Crichton's best-selling novel, Jurassic Park. Universal landed Colin Trevorrow as the director for the Jurassic World (2015). Here are 7 reasons why you should watch this movie: It's in the Name: Jurassic World is a part of the Jurassic Park franchise. It is the fourth installment in the series and it is a direct sequel to the original 'Jurassic Park'. The movie is set 22 years later after the Jurassic Park was shut down in 1993 in the movie. It takes place on the same island as in the original film, i.e., Isla Nublar. References from Original Novel In Michael Crichton's novel, the park was on the verge of opening with the rides moving and operational. However, in Spielberg's adaptation on the big screen, the opening day was still far away. All the buzz about "Jurassic World" is due to the fact that the park is open and fully operational. It incorporates original set pieces from the novel into the movie. The Return of Dr. Henry Wu Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum do not reprise their roles in the fourth installment. B.D. Wong plays Dr. Henry Wu, the head of the scientific team responsible for bringing back the dinosaurs in the original 'Jurassic Park'.A tribute to John Hammond The late actor Richard Attenborough was keen to reprise his role as John Hammond. But, as luck would have it, he passed away during the development stages of the film.
