- A Chinese firm named DMG Entertainment entered in a partnership with Alcon Entertainment to both finance and produce the film. Whilst DMG contributed Chinese elements to Looper and Iron Man 3, it did not do so for Transcendence.
- Transcendence was released on box office on April 18th, 2014. It was in the beginning planned to be released on April 25, 2014.
