There will always be fans that either boo or woo the Superhero shared the universe. Infinity War is the first Marvel movie after Captain America: The Winter Soldier to be universally acclaimed by both Marvel and DC fans alike. The stakes, which were always low in other Marvel movies, were made infinitely higher in this one. Coincidentally, it is not just the acclimation part Infinity war scored so highly in. Thanos Enters the MCU
We have said it before and we will say it again. Marvel has a Villain problem. Their bad guys fail to capture the heart and soul of the audience like Heath Ledger’s Joker in The Dark Knight and Michael Shannon’s General Zod in Man of Steel did. That all changed with Thanos. Josh Brolin’s terrific performance coupled with layers and layers added on to the character and his grand philosophy of brining balance to the universe resonated with many.
Loki’s Exit
Loki is probably the only bad guy other than Thanos that Marvel carved out really well. The Norse God of Mischief has always been a thorn at the Avengers’ side. That curse was broken by the Laufeyson when he redeemed himself at the very beginning of Infinity War when he tried to kill Thanos. The way he was given a redemption arc and died protecting his brother to his last breath caught everyone with surprise. Farewell Loki.
The Bucky Barnes Equation
The dynamic Bucky Barnes has with the other heroes of the MCU is shaky and volatile. He was used as an assassin by Hydra to kill Tony’s parents. He was used as a tool to launch Project Insight with full force. Captain America may have forgiven him but Tony may never will. Bucky died in Infinity War and let us hope the story writers can use this as a chance to never put Bucky and Tony in the same room.
The Guardians’ grand rendezvous with the Avengers
The Guardians of the Galaxy have always stayed aloof to the events happening on Earth. They were in other words, quite the sub-franchise in a way that never became main stream to the Avengers on Earth. That all changed with Infinity War. It was nothing short of a miracle on the script writer’s account in how effortlessly the Guardians were incorporated into the Avengers’ storyline.
The Doctor Strange Problem
In all the movies, Benedict Cumberbatch has starred in as Doctor Strange, one thing is exquisitely common – He is the coolest of the lot, even out-shadowing Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston in Thor: Ragnarok in general sassiness. In Infinity War, Doctor Strange is again the coolest of the lot. He has minimal lines in the movie but the ones he does speak out, makes him so super awesome that we cannot stop but fall in love with him again. Marvel did a pretty well job of balancing his act with the rest of the Avengers.
The Red Skull has the Soul Stone
The question of the whereabouts of The Red Skull after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger dogged so many fans. It was finally solved in Infinity War when it was found out that the Red Skull is actually in Vormir, acting as the torchbearer of the Soul Stone.
Stormbreaker takes the place of Mjolnir
Mjolnir had become an integral part of the MCU since Thor came into the scene. So when the hammer was destroyed in Ragnarok, many were disappointed. Infinity War was to give Thor his newest weapon. Many fans argued that Mjolnir is irreplaceable. They were proved wrong when Stormbreaker broke all notions and broke new ground (literally).
Scarlet Witch and Vision’s Love Story
The one couple everyone rooted for in Infinity War was the Vision and Scarlet Witch. Their love story did not get much screen time but whatever they did get, they made the most out of. With so many heroes trying to grab the spotlight in this movie, it was a wonder the directors were able to give their love story a tragic yet fitting end. Kudos!!
The Hulk-Black Widow Dynamic
It is a wonder why Joss Whedon thought a Hulk-Black Widow relationship could be feasible in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Infinity War saw the two heroes get back together in a single frame. Infinity War ended that dynamic the same way it was received – Chilly and brutally ruthless. We couldn’t be happier.

Thor’s Eyeball
Thor: Ragnarok established Thor as the one true God of Thunder in the MCU. It drove his powers to new heights as Thor was able to challenge Hela, who was literally powered by the City of Asgard, on the Asgardian soil. While Thor’s true abilities did not come into play till the very end, a Major Thor problem was solved by Infinity war. Remember Thor lost his right eye to Hela. Rocket ‘incidentally’ happened to stumble upon a high tech eye ball when the Ravagers mutinied against Yondu in GOTG Vol. 2. Like the Eyeball fitting into Thor’s socket, everything fit into place in Infinity War.
