Vin Diesel has been actively promoting his upcoming Marvel film Guardians Of the Galaxy: Vol 2 which is set for a 2017 summer release. The actor plays the character/voice over for the tree like a sentient being called Groot. Vin Diesel has been a very vocal participant when it comes to the film, and for good reason.
As Guardians Of The Galaxy is a part of the Marvel Cinematic World, there were a lot of speculations about which Marvel hero would be making an appearance in the upcoming movie. After all, Marvel is interlinked and there were many Marvel characters who were residing in space like Star-Lord and his crew. One of those heroes being Hulk, who is currently saving the world in Ragnarok [we’re assuming] Diesel discussed this rumor in his interview with The Playlist :
“I can answer that question very easily: it is absolute, 100% bullshit. It feels like a great relief to finally say this after all the dumb stuff on the Internet. There’s not going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never a plan for the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy – I wouldn’t want the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! And it’s all a bunch of complete bullshit.”
With such a flat out denial, it seems like the big green guy will not be interacting with Gamora and Rocket anytime soon (Infinity War perhaps?) The actor also talked about a potential fight he would like to see in a recent interview at Comic-Con Experience in Sao Paolo, Brazil , which also involved The Hulk:
“I know that somewhere in the universe you’re going to see Groot and Hulk battle, I know it! Write it down somewhere, you’re going to see that posted…Groot versus Hulk.”
