Rumor Suggests Introduction Of A New Type Of Lightsaber In Ahsoka Series

Hey, have you heard the latest rumors about the upcoming Ahsoka TV show on Disney? Apparently, there will be a new type of lightsaber in Ahsoka, which will be a heavier, more potent version that will be wielded by one of the new villains. According to the rumor, Ahsoka will be battling two new bad guys named Baylon and Shin who are both adept at using the dark side of the Force. Grand Admiral Thrawn, who was also introduced in The Mandalorian season 2, is said to have connections to these two new villains. The most intriguing aspect, however, is that their lightsabers will be completely original to the Star Wars universe.

However, there are some significant differences between Baylon’s lightsaber and Kylo Ren’s crossguard blade. It will be heavier than a typical lightsaber, more akin to a two-handed claymore broadsword, and allow for stronger swings. The weapon’s weight will allegedly even be felt when Baylon strikes Ahsoka with it on screen. According to reports, Shin’s lightsaber will be lighter and more akin to a rapier, enabling swift and accurate strikes. Given that weight hasn’t really been a factor in lightsaber combat before, it’s unclear how these new lightsabers will function. However, considering the potential is intriguing.

It’s also important to note that Baylon and Shin are both dark-side warriors, which makes sense given that they would seriously threaten Ahsoka. It’s been said that the show will introduce new characters who have a strong connection to the Force, particularly on the dark side, so this might only be the beginning. Naturally, since this is still just a rumor, it’s important to take everything in with a grain of salt. In any case, it will be intriguing to see how these new lightsabers are incorporated into the show if it proves to be accurate.

Lightsabers, for those who are unfamiliar, are essentially plasma blades that are used by Jedi and Sith in the Star Wars universe. They’re such a formidable weapon because they are incredibly strong and can cut through almost anything. Even though technically speaking, lightsabers are just beams of energy, they are frequently wielded with both hands as if they were heavy. This is due to their tremendous power and the harm they are capable of doing. With spinning hilts and the capacity to launch their wielders into the air, the Imperial Inquisitors’ lightsabers, which were first seen in Star Wars Rebels, pushed the envelope of what we thought was practical.

So, it’s intriguing to consider the novel possibilities that these new lightsabers might open up. Only time will tell if they will possess novel skills or features. But one thing is certain: Ahsoka will be a fascinating addition to the Star Wars universe. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Rosario Dawson’s solo series ever since it was announced because of the high praise she received for her portrayal of the fan-favorite character in The Mandalorian. We’ll get to see more of Ahsoka’s adventures in addition to meeting new people and getting to know new plotlines.

And if the rumors about the new lightsabers are accurate, that’s yet another reason to be anticipating what’s to come. Naturally, we won’t be able to see how it all turns out until Ahsoka’s Disney television series premieres later in 2023. But while we wait, we can conjecture and daydream about the potential of these new lightsabers and the difficulties Ahsoka and her allies may face as a result.
