Henry Cavill’s Reply To This Question About Superman And Planet Earth Will Win Your Heart

Henry Cavill landed on a role to play Superman in DCEU. It was initially met with skepticism and doubts by the DC fans as he is a British actor playing an American superhero. Moreover, the iconic character was played by Christopher Reeve and he pulled it off with panache, so there were huge expectations from him. But he surprised everyone in Man of Steel movie and now he is widely accepted as the Man of Steel.

Recently, Henry Cavill was asked to name his and Man of Steel’s favorite thing about the planet Earth. To which the actor said:

I think — and I imagine Superman would also think — the greatest quality of people and humankind is their capacity to love regardless of hardship or difficulties or personal trials. People can be living in the most horrendous war zone or under the most incredible oppression and yet they can still love so selflessly and so unconditionally — and still bear hope through that love. It’s amazing to see what people can do. I think Superman would recognize that and appreciate it.

Last we saw Superman, he took down the mighty Doomsday sacrificing himself as Doomsday also ended up killing him in the final act of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. But, we all knew that he was coming back from the dead in Justice League and the last moment of BvS where we saw the dust particles rising was a big hint. This wasn’t a secret at all as there is no Justice League without Superman. The big question was always that how it was going to happen. Henry Cavill was missing from the marketing and everything as they wanted to keep this reveal big, and rightly so, they did end up managing that.

When we finally got to see the movie and this question about the resurrection of Man of Steel was answered in a grand fashion. Before the movie came out, there were rumors and theories circling around that Steppenwolf is going to be the one to bring him back, and Superman was going to turn bad for a while.

Then after the movie came out, it was revealed that this was in fact shot by Zack Snyder, but it was altered by Joss Whedon during the reshoots of the movie.

Well, even though this might have been epic as well, what we got in the movie was even better. After his death in the comics, Superman is revived by being placed in a Kryptonian Regeneration Matrix and comes out in a black suit sporting a mullet, leaving fans to speculate whether or not that something similar would happen in Justice League as well.

The movie (no doubt) has shown the best version of Superman on-screen who was fast and more fun to watch. Despite the return of the character in the movie, there’s still no clarity on the sequel to the Man of Steel movie as the rumors state that it’s not a priority for DC at this moment. This indicates that Henry Cavill’s contract to continue the character of Man of Steel will feature him more like a supporting character for the next couple of years in DC movies.

Justice League has now hit the theatres and the reactions from the fans are amazing. The movie is really good according to the fans and each and every moviegoer whether he/she is a comic book fan or not is coming out having a good time watching the movie. The critics, on the other hand, are still following the same trend that they were with pre-Wonder Woman DC movies. The Rotten Tomatoes score for the movie currently stands at 41%.
