According to Jeff Sneider’s The Hot Mic podcast, David Fincher might be involved in producing the American remake.
Recently, Seong Gi-hun, the creator of Squid Game, talked to IndieWire about the show’s success. While he’s happy that the show has been well-received, he’s also a bit worried about what that says about our society. After all, Squid Game explores some dark themes about the lengths people will go to accumulate personal wealth. But enough about that – let’s talk about season two! Fans have been eagerly waiting for any news about the next season of Squid Game, and star Lee Jung Jae has some exciting updates.
In an interview with Ilgan Sports from London, Lee revealed that filming for season two will begin in the summer and will last for about 10 months. That’s a long time, but considering the scale of the show, it’s not surprising. After all, season one also took about 10 months to film, but there were delays due to COVID-19. Lee also teased that his character, Gi-Hun, will have a lot to do in season two. At the end of season one, we saw Gi-Hun desperately seeking revenge, so it’s no surprise that the main plot of season two will revolve around that.
Lee also revealed that he will finally share screen time with Lee Byung Hun, who plays Front Man in the show. The two actors previously worked together on a drama called White Nights 3.98, but they didn’t have any scenes together.
