Evans revealed that he is “very precious” to the character and is “protective” of it. He expressed hesitation to return to the MCU, stating that “it feels a little soon” and that “there are other stories to tell.”

Interestingly, Evans also revealed in a past interview with Josh Horowitz that he would “love” to come back as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four franchise. He shared that this would be an “easier sell” to him than returning as Steve Rogers.
