Killmonger Could Return for a Black Panther Team Up in Avengers: Secret Wars

Avengers: Secret Wars is one of the most significant comic book events to have taken place. It ran a massive multiversal story of the multiverse itself that ended. The MCU gave us a road map till Phase 6, and it all ends with Avengers: Secret Wars. This crossover event will bring the Multiverse Saga to an end. And this is the film that could beat Avengers: Endgame in terms of scale and the number of characters that will appear in it. So we believe that one of its story elements could include the return of Killmonger for a Black Panther team up event.

Endgame had a whole army of heroes that included several random soldiers from Wakanda, the ravagers, the sorcerers, and New Asgardians. But this time, these random soldiers could be replaced by heroes and villains. If you have a slight idea about Secret Wars, then you would be aware that this storyline includes a place called the Battleworld!

This is where most of the multiverse came to an end because of Incursions, and the last surviving place left was the Battleworld which comprised different factions of the entire multiverse. It had variants of several heroes and villains residing in different parts of the battleworld. Earth-616’s Black Panther played a massive role in the story. But since he is out of the picture, MCU’s Secret Wars event could bring Killmonger back as a good Black Panther!

Black Panther Team Up

We’ve seen a villainous Killmonger twice in the MCU now. But after T’Challa’s demise, we could have a suitable Killmonger variant. Imagine an Earth where King T’Chaka adopted Erik Stevens as one of his own after the death of N’Jobu. He and T’Challa could have grown up together as brothers. And maybe because T’Challa died on this Earth, the mantle of Black Panther fell upon Erik Stevens. So, he could form a team of Black Panthers with Shuri and M’Baku of Earth-616. They would all unite with the grief of losing T’Challa on different Earths.

I also say M’Baku because it is rumored that by the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shuri would pass on the mantle of Black Panther to M’Baku. So, Shuri, M’Baku, and Erik could all be seen in Black Panther suits in Secret Wars. Michael B. Jordan’s performance was appreciated in Black Panther. So, seeing him as a good guy for a change would be nice.
