Avengers: Secret Wars is one of the most significant comic book events to have taken place. It ran a massive multiversal story of the multiverse itself that ended. The MCU gave us a road map till Phase 6, and it all ends with Avengers: Secret Wars. This crossover event will bring the Multiverse Saga to an end. And this is the film that could beat Avengers: Endgame in terms of scale and the number of characters that will appear in it. So we believe that a new cosmic team of MCU could appear in Secret Wars after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brings the current rendition to an end.
Endgame had a whole army of heroes, including several random soldiers from Wakanda, the ravagers, the sorcerers, and New Asgardians. But this time, these random soldiers could be replaced by heroes and villains. If you have a slight idea about Secret Wars, then you would be aware that this storyline includes a place called the Battleworld!
This is where most of the multiverse came to an end because of Incursions, and the last surviving place left was the Battleworld which comprised different factions of the entire multiverse. It had variants of several heroes and villains residing in different parts of the battleworld. And one faction of characters could be a new cosmic team that forms up at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
James Gunn is culminating the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise with Vol. 3. But the ending doesn’t mean everyone will die. The story will go on, and we’d surely see a new Cosmic team form up towards the end. Marvel could take inspiration from the Annihilators for this. The MCU’s version of this team could include the leftover Guardians like Star-Lord and Gamora. And they could lead Adam Warlock, Nova, and maybe some other familiar powerhouses like the Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, or even Quasar. These other characters could join them in Secret Wars. And guess what, this cosmic squad could combine with The Marvels team that includes Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Monica Rambeau as Spectrum.
