Avengers 4 Reshoots:
Avengers 4 is now picking up the pace as the reshoots of the film seem to be coming to an end within this month. Then the directors will be involved with the post-production stage as they have a target to be done with the film till March 2019. Mark Ruffalo revealed that the reshoots will be deciding how the film will be ending. Chris Evans recently bid farewell to Marvel and the fans as he was done with the reshoots as well, and we won’t be seeing him in the MCU post-Avengers 4. Here’s the heartbreaking goodbye of Captain America:
“Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”
This led many fans to believe that Cap will probably be among the ones to die in Avengers 4 as Marvel cannot just retire Cap and leave everyone to believe that he would never return. This could be done with Iron Man, but not Captain America. So, this has saddened a whole lot of fans throughout the world.
But when the reshoots began, the first set photos we got to see were of Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, and Scarlett Johansson. Now recent rumours that came out during the reshoots suggested that Chris Evans was seen walking out of the Avengers 4 sets as if he is straight out of shooting Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Also, those rumours did suggest that ScarJo was also in the similar get up that she had back during the Winter Soldier.
We have also heard that Paul Rudd was also given a slightly younger look probably with some makeup applied. While we do know that the upcoming mega event is going to have a major involvement in time travel, but how & why time travel and Ant-Man would fit into The Winter Soldier is a big mystery.
Time Travel should supposedly take us back to all those movies where Infinity Stones were involved so the Avengers could get their hands on those stones in order to prevent them from falling into the hands of Thanos. So how would changing the events of the Winter Soldier prevent the larger MCU? It was a massive thriller when it comes to being a movie, but the fall of SHIELD and Hydra does not really play big with the larger plot involving Thanos. The connection seems to be unjustifiable.
The only way it could make sense is if Ant-Man is going back in time to recruit the versions of the Avengers before they started to fall apart. Age of Ultron was the film where the rift started to begin and then the Civil War was the one that broke the band. So perhaps taking Cap and Nat from that movie could make some sort of sense?
Towards the beginning of this year when we got to see Marvel’s 10 year Anniversary, the Vanity fair magazine released the photo shoot involving almost all the characters of the MCU. In that photoshoot, Cap was wearing his blue/silver suit which we only got to see in the first half of The Winter Soldier.
Avengers 4 was shooting around the similar time frame, so perhaps that was a hint that Avengers 4 will probably involve Captain America from The Winter Soldier. That suit may just be worn for the shoot because it is the best Captain America suit after all. But still, we have to cover all possibilities.
Avengers 4 will supposedly star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Renner Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Danai Gurira, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tessa Thompson, Evangeline Lilly, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum and Brie Larson.
Here’s the official Synopsis:
“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
