Top Gun: Maverick Makes A Huge Splash at the Box Office
The movie made a total of $260 million on its opening weekend. This is the worldwide collection of the opening of the movie. Out of this, $151 million came from the international market and $109 million was the gross revenue for the film in the domestic market. This shows that the movie and the franchise still have an amazing level of fan following even though it was stuck in production hell for quite some time. The movie’s release date was rescheduled more than 4 times during the pandemic area. But now that it is finally out fans have clearly shown us that they love this sequel to a classic.
The very fact that Tom Cruise can easily pick up a role after 30 years is nothing short of absolutely amazing. His portrayal of Goose is unbelievable and fans have been dying to be able to see the movie. The delay in the movie’s release proves that the writers/director knew better than to release the movie before it was done. They were happy to delay the movie and keep working on making it perfect. Well, after looking at how Top Gun Maverick made a huge splash at the box office, we can be sure that they made the right decision.
