Spider-Man made a massive impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his last entry, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Even though there are plans for other projects he might appear in, fans are wondering where we might get to see him sooner. The character has become an essential part of the franchise and it won’t be surprising to see him pop up in some of the upcoming projects. We aren’t only talking about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man either considering now the MCU has three Spider-Man characters in its canon. Let’s take a look at all the upcoming projects where Spider-Man can appear next:
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness
The upcoming MCU project is going to be the Doctor Strange sequel. This is going to take the elements of the multiverse we got to witness in Spider-Man: No Way Home to a whole new level. A lot of interesting characters are supposed to be appearing in the movie with the clear presence of Sir Patrick Stewart in the movie. But he is not the only actor rumoured to reprise his role as Professor X in the movie Tobey Maguire is also rumoured to do the same.
The Spider-Man star reprised his role in No Way Home and has clearly indicated his enthusiasm to repeat the act and it won’t be surprising to see him do the same for Multiverse of Madness. While we might not get to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the movie, Tobey Maguire might get a better chance to establish himself compared to the last time. Fans might remember that Strange was even referenced in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies and the director is actually helming this movie.
Fantastic Four
There have been a lot of references to this movie in the Spider-Man movies in the MCU. This was clearly because Jon Watts was going to direct the movie but then it won’t be surprising to see Spider-Man make a cameo in the family of superheroes. Spidey was actually a member of the family of four and that is clearly something that could be utilized as an essential plot point in the MCU. Now that the character is forgotten he could join up the family and help introduce them to the world of heroes we have gotten used to. Jon Watts won’t clearly avoid a chance to reference the character that led to him making his debut in the MCU for Fantastic Four.
Spider-Man 4
It was being considered that Spider-Man: No Way Home was the final entry in terms of Spider-Man projects in the MCU. The cast and the creators also stated that the movie was being treated like that while making but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Right after the release of the movie, reports came in that there is another trilogy under development following this entry in the MCU. It is not quite clear when we will get to see the movie but we can be sure that it is going to be an interesting watch for the fans of the franchise. It is not quite clear what we will get to see in the movie, but it will be an important entry in the franchise.
Avengers 5
Even though Marvel Studios have stated that there won’t be an Avengers movie for a long time to come, it is going to happen sometime in the near future. There is a villain Kang the Conqueror and the comics have often seen the heroes unite to go against him. There are hardly any characters left from the original set of heroes in the Avengers but Spider-Man can act as a bridge to this set of heroes. He can bring the new heroes onboard this team with leadership being handed to someone else. It is quite clear that Spider-Man has gained quite an experience and even has ventured into the multiverse arc to deal with these responsibilities.
