Moon Knight Could Make The Best Avengers Team By Himself!

Moon Knight will soon be getting his own solo project with a debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character has had some of the most exciting narratives in the Marvel Universe and fans are excited to see them being brought to the live-action interpretations. While there’s no comparison with the other heroes when it comes to Moon Knight but often he has managed to prove quite a big deal amongst the Avengers. The Avengers has some of the most essential heroes in it who have come to help at some of the darkest moments on Earth. Let’s look a the time when Moon Knight managed to become the best Avengers team (of three) when the heroes weren’t available at the scene.

Moon Knight

Disney+ is going to give us our very first Marvel Studios of the year with Moon Knight. The series will surely take a darker tone that has not been a part of the previous Marvel projects. This is simply because that is a tone that is associated with the character of Moon Knight. We will get to see the character make its first live-action debut with the project and that clearly explains all the hype for it. Moon Knight getting added to the roster of MCU heroes is a big win for the character as it has had some of the most interesting encounters with other heroes in the Marvel comics.

Moon Knight Summons The Avengers

In the 2011 Moon Knight, written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Alex Maleev, we get to see Marc Spector explore a rather interesting narrative. It is quite exciting to see that Spector comes to Los Angeles from New York City in order to produce a television series. This series is on his own life and it is titled The Legend of Khonshu. But that’s only the first few bits of the narrative as he ends up going through a certain development that allows him to have an unusual team-up. We see that Spector ends up believing he is actually visited by the likes of Captain America, Wolverine, and Spider-Man. They are presented together as a team to investigate the discovery of the body of Ultron.

Best Avengers team

According to the synopsis:

Captain America. Wolverine. Spider-Man. There’s nobody you’d want to have your back more than this trio of mighty Avengers. So who better for Moon Knight to call upon to lend a hand? The trouble is, they’re all in Moon Knight’s head — the latest splinters of Marc Spector’s shattered psyche! And as Spector battles his own mind to find balance in his new home of Los Angeles, a powerful criminal mastermind makes his deadly move — trafficking Ultron’s temporarily inert robot body! Can Moon Knight get his act together in time to take on this deadly threat — or is he way out of his league? Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev, who wowed readers with DAREDEVIL, reunite to deliver a unique take on another fan-favorite Marvel vigilante!

It is later revealed that Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Captain America didn’t actually team up with Moon Knight. Spector had actually imagined that they were talking to him this entire time. This entire imagination reaches a whole new level when we see the trio engaged in battle. Moon Knight fights with certain characteristics of the other heroes while having his own powers too. That’s not all as we even see him wearing Spider-Man’s costume which is a clear indication at the level of how unhinged he actually is.

Best Avengers team

This is quite similar to the likes of the villain Taskmaster. While Taskmaster can actually copy the fighting techniques of everyone he is facing, Moon Knight actually takes it one level further by using the powers of the other heroes. Taskmaster uses photographic memory to mimic the moves of his opponents and this is quite visible with the way he presents these moves. But in the case of Moon Knight, his mimicry is a result of his multiple personality disorder that convinces him that he is actually the other heroes he is mimicking. This is a piece of clear evidence that Moon Knight can prove to be a one-person Avengers team if things go wrong.
