Batman is one of the most significant characters in the DC Universe of characters. We have seen him use his wit to the most at various times with the narrative of his arc and different stories. Fans are always interested to see every one of his narratives both on-screen and in the comics. This has allowed for some of the most awesome narratives to be explored with his characters. Green Lantern is a character whose sole power source is the ring that he has and we are often left wondering what Batman could do once he wields the Ring. Let’s take a look at all the most awesome moments when Batman wore a Lantern ring and amazed us all.
Better Green Lantern
There is a One-Shot Elseworlds story of Batman that should be read because of the absolutely brilliant narrative it explores. In this storyline, Abin Sur’s ship ends up crashing near the Wayne Manor and Bruce ends up wielding the Power Ring. He ended up taking the mantle of Green Lantern instead of Hal Jordan. This led to a brilliant narrative that gave us a far better Green Lantern than we might have expected to see. The hero uses these powers to bring down enemies like Joker but ends up paving the way for a more menacing Sinestro. Around the end, we also get to see a lot more of the Justice League members turning into Green Lanterns.
Batman Gets Off The Mobius Chair
This story actually saw the Green Lantern Power Ring actually working out a larger meaning of its power. The arc actually saw Batman tricking Mobius to get off the Mobius chair. Batman takes hold of the chair himself and thus ends up becoming the God of Knowledge. But this power of having an answer to every possible question actually ends up being a lot more addictive for the caped crusader. Hal Jordan figures out a solution by handing him the ring and it makes Batman have a sudden surge of willpower thus getting him off the Mobius chair.
The Insider Suit
The Caped Crusader dies during the Final Crisis and everything goes back to its normal path. But since it is Batman, the hero had managed to figure a way back into the land of the living. After coming back to life, he wanted to see how the other Superheroes were doing in his absence and that’s when he came up with the Insider suit. This suit had some of the most interesting features that included super speed and even heat vision. It basically comprised of some of the powers of most of the other superheroes including Green Lanter. The suit had the ability to harness the green energy of willpower right out of the universe’s emotional spectrum.
Yellow Lantern Batman
Batman managed to salvage a Yellow Lantern ring when the Crime Syndicate of America ended up invading the DC universe. When the Justice League ends up getting defeated Batman comes to the front wielding this ring and using it to fight the Power Ring wielding Green Lantern. Batman manages to hold off for a sufficient time during which Sinestro comes and disposes of the Power Ring.
The Dawnbreaker
We got to see the evil Batman titled Dawnbreaker in the events of the Dark Nights: Metal arc. This was a part of the larger Dark Multiverse in the DC Universe and a lot of twisted realities existed here. One of the realities had Dawnbreaker, an evil rendition of Batman who was actually granted the power of the Green Lantern ring. Since he is an evil Batman, he ends up using it for violent and extremist means. This would lead to dark consequences as the character would not only cleanse Gotham of the criminals but also end up killing the Green Lanterns.
