Doctor Strange 2 Will End Up Breaking This Cool Record of No Way Home

The upcoming Doctor Strange sequel will be featuring some rather interesting characters based on the theories. There is much hype about this because we got to witness something very similar happen in Spider-Man: No Way Home. No Way Home managed to break a lot of interesting records starting from the time we got to see the very first trailer. But one of the most awesome records the movie managed to break was surrounding the fact that the movie featured past actors reprising their roles. But this record might get affected based on recent development. If and when Doctor Strange 2 ends up featuring Patrick Stewart as Professor X, then it will break this cool record of No Way Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

The concept of the Multiverse is something that has been referenced for quite a long time in the MCU. We got to see the Disney+ series Loki actually introducing us towards the Multiverse and the chaos it might cause. But the first time we got to see the effects of Multiverse was with Spider-Man: No Way Home. It featured a lot of actors from past Sony Spider-Man franchises reprising their roles. Other than the villains from the movies, we also got to witness Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appear as Spider-Man in the movie. It was one of the biggest theories surrounding the movie and it actually ended up coming true.

No Way Home has made a lot of records and continues to break records with the blockbuster numbers. When the trailer came out, it ended up being the most-watched trailer in the first 48 hours of its release. But there was one more record that the movie ended up breaking that is actually a lot cooler than these two. It was absolutely exciting to see how the movie managed to bring back past characters from the Sony Spider-Man movies and make them canon to the MCU. But this ended up paving the way for Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe to secure the record for the longest time to have played a Marvel character.

Professor X Can Break the Record of No Way Home

The trailer for Multiverse of Madness featured Patrick Stewart’s voice. This was instantly linked with the rumor that the movie will be featuring a Fox Marvel character using the Multiverse. It might mean that Patrick Stewart will be reprising his role as Professor Xavier in the MCU and it might also feature the MCU’s Illuminati. This has fans actually excited considering the character is rather celebrated amongst the fans of the X-Men films. But if it actually ends up happening then this might end up breaking the record that Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe ended up making.

Record of No Way Home

Patrick Stewart made his debut as Charles Xavier in 2000’s X-Men. He continued to play the role even after James McAvoy took on the younger version of the character in the franchise. Willem Dafoe and Tobey Maguire first made their appearance in the roles of Green Goblin and Spider-Man in 2002’s Spider-Man. This means that they have played the role for about 19 years. It is quite clear that Patrick Stewart might end up topping this number. Based on the release date for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it would mark 22 years over which Stewart would have played the psychic.

While it is not confirmed yet but if Patrick does end up reprising his role then it will be a bid deal for Marvel too. This would actually pave the way for the very first mutant to appear in the MCU. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in theaters worldwide on May 6.
