6 Reasons Why Daredevil is The Best Superhero in Marvel Universe?

In a world where everyone thinks Spider-Man and Iron Man are the best Marvel superheroes, we think a little out of the box. We strongly believe that Daredevil is an underrated character and can probably be the best superhero in the pages of Marvel comics. Here are six reasons why Daredevil is the best superhero. Check out for yourself!

1. SOME OF THE BEST CREATIVE ARTISTS HAVE WORKED ON THE CHARACTER

The best superpower a superhero can have is a good creative team. The best artists can turn a regular superhero into one of the most likable ones. Daredevil was one of the lesser-known characters until Frank Miller and Klaus Jenson took over the franchise. Even though Miller’s editions made some distasteful political statements, his editions were underestimated. Miller paved the way for more talent to be a part of the franchise.  Brian Bendis and Alex Maleev took the reigns from Miller and took the series to a whole new level in the 1980s. Their story arcs were not only great but also unforgettable.

Things took a turn towards the worst when Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark succeeded Bendis and Maleev. They brought the character so low that the Studios had to replace them with Mark Waid and Chris Samnee. Waid and Samnee brought the character back on the fast track. Currently, Charles Soule is working on the series and readers seem to enjoy it very much.

After such great talents working on the comics, the character has gone through some of the best storylines.

2. THE SERIES FEATURE THE BEST OF THE STORY ARCS

Why Daredevil is The Best Superhero

Thanks to the many talented creative artists, the character owns some of the best storylines. To name a few, Born Again, The Devil in Cell Block D, Guardian Devil, and The Murdock Papers are some of the best ones. These editions were quite successful in bringing the character into the limelight. All these storylines were successful in exhibiting raw emotions like deception and aversion to morality while telling simple detective-crime stories. According to the writers, Daredevil, unlike most of the other superheroes, has flaws. The readers think that these flaws make him the most relatable and hence, the best superhero.

3. HIS POWERS ARE NOT LIMITLESSBatman vs. Daredevil Which Caped Vigilante is better

Among superheroes who possess God-like powers, Daredevil stands out. Lee and Kirby created him as a flawed human with limited powers. Though Matt has some superhuman powers that allow him to fight crime, that does not give him that big of an edge over a supervillain. Plus, his mental state makes him relatable to a whole lot of people. Maybe this is the reason people like seeing Daredevil go through being a superhero while being depressed. People like watching Matt fight his mental and physical injuries as he fights for good. This inspires them.

4. HIS DAY JOB IN A COURTROOM ATTRACTS READERS

It is a known fact that a good lawyer character can attract a lot of audiences. There have been many lawyer books, movies and comics that can prove this statement. But no one attracts an audience like a good blind lawyer. As a lawyer, Matt Murdock is forced to accept the law as the ultimate justice. And there comes the irony. Matt spends the day fighting crime with his words and law books in the courtroom while he spends the night as a masked vigilante who disregards the law on an hourly basis. This irony makes him the greatest superhero there ever was.

5. NETFLIX’S DAREDEVIL ESTABLISHES HIM AS THE BEST SUPERHERO

Many comic book characters are now being adopted in a live-action project. However, most of them receive a mixed response from the viewers. But only a few of them receive love from both the viewers and comic readers alike. Netflix has done an awesome job in bringing some of the underrated characters out of the shadows. Their recent projects like Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and of course, Daredevil, are some of their best works. But all of this had not have been successful if Daredevil wasn’t as good as we say.

Yeah, one can argue that the series worked due to the creative team but it was the story arcs of the character that made him so cool in the show. Even the 2003’s Daredevil was not that bad. Yeah, it was just too comic-book accurate. But, when you take a look at its director’s cut, you’ll realise that the movie was so underrated. This is just further proof that he is the best superhero character.

6. AN EXCELLENT SUPPORTING CAST MAKES HIM BETTER THAN EVER

Why Daredevil is The Best Superhero

For a good superhero, we need a good origin, an inspiring close relative, a good story arc, and awesome supporting characters. And Daredevil has all of them. The comics feature an entire array of fellow lawyers, journalists, super spies, and assassins. Plus, his relationships with every one of the supporting characters further solidify our statement.
