One of the major excitements for cinema fans has to be the news of Christopher Nolan’s next big project. The director has never failed to give us some of the most interesting stories on a massive scale. His works actually make for some of the best cinematic experiences and comprise some of the most brilliant performances. Whenever we get waves about his next project fans start wondering who will be cast into it and what sort of movie it will be. It was recently revealed that Nolan’s next project will be a biographical take on Oppenheimer with the same title. Oppenheimer

Christopher Nolan’s next project Oppenheimer will mark the first time he has worked under the banner of Universal following the end of his partnership with Warner Bros. All of his previous works have been with Warner Bros. but it seems that the simultaneous release online with theatre release led to certain disagreements between the two. Nolan’s deal with Universal seems to be rather interesting as it already made headlines for the list of his demands. These demands included an exclusive 100-day theatrical release, a $100 million marketing budget, and a $100 million production budget. And the final thing that is gonna make this a Nolan movie has to be the demand for full creative control.

Nolan is known for movies like Interstellar, Inception, and The Dark Knight trilogy that have made a serious impact on the audiences. Oppenheimer might actually make a similar impact except for the fact that the movie will actually be the first time we will get a biopic from Nolan. Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt have been confirmed to have joined the cast of the film with the former playing the titular character.

If they are successful then we can expect to witness these stars join Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy in the film. The movie will be based on the titular character of Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who was responsible for running the Manhatten Project that led to the creation of the atomic bomb. There have been reports that the character these two actors will be playing has been kept under wraps.

The Hollywood Reporter has been able to get some details casting details for the film. It was revealed that Emily Blunt will play Murphy’s wife, Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer. The report suggests that Matt Damon will be playing Lt. Gen Leslie Groves who was the director of the Manhattan Project. Meanwhile, Downey will be playing Lewis Strauss who was the Atomic Energy Commissioner who spearheaded hearings where Oppenheimer’s loyalty to the United States was questioned. This will be Downey’s first time working with Nolan while Matt Damon played a small role in Nolan’s Interstellar.

Oppenheimer will be based on Kair Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book entitled American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J.
