A Key Detail of Spider-Man Villains You Missed In No Way Home Trailer

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most anticipated movie of this year, so how can we not be excited about the movie. With all the breathtaking moments in the trailer, we think you missed an important detail. All the villains from the past Spider-Man franchises are returning and only Peter Parker(s) can stop them from wreaking havoc in the man timeline. The trailer of the movie was released last month and featured the infamous Sinister Six as the villains. However, Marvel and Sony left out an important detail. There’s a theory about a key detail of Spider-Man villains that you may have missed.

The trailer started right after the events of the prequel where the world accuses Peter of murdering Mysterio. The trailer goes around as Peter deals with the aftermath of this revelation. The police interrogate his friends and family, the public harasses him and renounces him as the Devil himself. But he was lost without Tony Stark. That was until he went to Doctor Strange and asked for his help.

Dr. Strange agreed to cast a complex to help Peter out. But due to his continuous bickering, the spell goes awry and opens a breach into the vast Multiverse. This results in a number of villains from different times and universes assemble against the friendly neighborhood superhero. We see the fan-favourites-Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin’s infamous pumpkin bomb and Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock saying his iconic line, “Hello Peter!” Other returning villains of the Sinister Six are Lizard (probably played by Thomas Haden Church) and Electro (Jamie Foxx). Some fans even think that the trailer featured a small part of the tail of a creature they believe is Rhys Ifans’ Lizard.

BUT WHAT DID YOU MISS?

Detail of Spider-Man Villains

Every fan, critic and theorist is talking about the villains but they seem to miss the most important question. Why did only the Spider-Man villains cross the breach in the Multiverse? After What If…?, we know that the multiverse is filled with unknown dangers. So when the beach opened, Why didn’t more bad guys cross the bridge? The answer to this question, as pointed in a TikTok, can be found in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. In Thor: Ragnarok, Dr strange cast a spell to open a portal for Thor Odinson and Loki Laufeyson to Odin. Stranges uses a strand of Thor’s hair to lock the spell. A similar thing is seen again in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer where Strange uses what looks like Peter’s hair. That is why only the people associated with Spider-Man could cross the bridge into the MCU.

This theory answers another question. If the DNA in the hair strand calls out to the important people in Spider-Man’s life, and thus the villains come over, so this might also be the explanation for Tobey and Andrew’s appearance in the MCU. And even though the trailer might not feature the former Spider-Men, their to-be cameo is heavily rumored all over social media. Of course, they will be considered as the variants of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. They will be connected through their spider-DNA mutation. This DNA theory makes so much sense now as it solves the paradox of Spider-Man villains.

ALBEIT, DON’T GET YOUR HOPES UP!

Detail of Spider-Man Villains

In the last few months, fans had many theories but not all of them turned out to be true. Spider-Man: No Way Home’s second trailer might disclose some more information. But until that, it is very hard to point the finger at a single theory. New information about the movie is released almost every day but none of them can be fully trusted. So, if you come across one, do check for its credibility.

A piece of advice- Never settle when it comes to the multiverse. Venture far and beyond with your theories. Think of one crazy theory you have in mind and share it in the comments section below. We might even feature you in the next theory post.
