10 Marvel Multiverse Characters Who Should Join The MCU Too

Phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will clearly explore the multiverse in a much deeper way than it was ever explored before. This is a clear indication that this will be a vehicle for Marvel to get in a lot of characters who haven’t appeared before to be added to the MCU. Not only that but there’s a chance that we might get to see some old faces from non-MCU movies making an appearance. With Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx confirmed to reprise their roles as the respective villains in Spider-Man: No Way Home. There are also rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will also be making comebacks in their respective Spider-Man roles for the movie. Let’s take a look at the non-MCU Marvel Multiverse Characters who should be added to the MCU after No Way Home brings the Spider-Men.

Uncle Ben (The Amazing Spider-Man)

One of the coolest things about Spider-Man’s rendition in MCU is that it doesn’t bring in the origin story that we have witnessed multiple times before. But since Spider-Man: No Way Home is already bringing in some of the villains from the past renditions of the character, we won’t mind seeing Uncle Ben making an appearance too. This might become one of the strong emotional strengths of the MCU with his appearance.

Wolverine (Fox’s X-Men)

Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of Wolverine is one of the biggest achievements in the superhero movie world. The character has made an appearance in the most number X-Men movies. Fans would love to see him make a comeback along with X-23 as a multiversal old man Logan interpretation. While Logan was possibly one of the best endings for a character we can expect to watch, a return in this character would be an absolutely awesome chance for us to explore.

Gwen Stacy (The Amazing Spider-Man)

Marvel Multiverse Characters

Gwen Stacy from The Amazing Spider-Man could make a return in the MCU’s multiverse with rumors already going around about other possible comebacks in the movie. Her tragic death remains one of the most tragic moments in superhero movies. She can make an appearance and continue the tale of the Spider-Woman in the MCU.

Silver Surfer (Fox’s Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer)

Fox’s Fantastic Four movies didn’t really get along with either fans or the critics very much. But one cannot deny that Silver Surfer’s appearance in the sequel was one of the high points of those movies. The character was played by Doug Jones while the voice work was done by Laurence Fishburne to massive success. It would surely be a surprise to see this character make an appearance in any future MCU project.

Characters From Fox’s The New Mutants

Fox’s last attempt at using the X-Men world failed terribly with New Mutants. The movie went through a lot of issues with one of the major things being its repeated delays. This was due to the project being sold to Disney along with other properties. Marvel could provide these characters another chance to make a much bigger impact by adding them to the MCU.

Man-Thing (Marvel’s Man-Thing)

Marvel Multiverse Characters

A live-action Man-Thing movie was released in 2005 but it flew under most radars because it didn’t get a theatrical release and was rather aired on TV. Those who got to see the movie know very well that its major success was the appearance of Man-Thing as it ended up being the highlight of the movie even though it had lackluster effects. It would be an awesome opportunity to see him making an appearance in the MCU with a possible inclusion using the Nexus of All Realities.

Ghost Rider (Nicholas Cage’s Ghost Rider)

Fans have been able to enjoy various versions of Ghost Rider over the time since he also appeared in TV’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. While Nicholas Cage’s rendition of the character is not considered to be the best, fans won’t mind getting a glance at him in the MCU. It could be a fun addition to the MCU that already loves paying tribute to the past renditions of the characters.

Punisher (Netflix’s Punisher)

Netflix made a few original shows that were based on Marvel characters. Most of these saw great success amongst the fans for their dark depiction of the characters while at the same time the movies were also able to give us some of the greatest fan-favorite moments. One of these shows was The Punisher. While Marvel has confirmed that these shows won’t be considered canon, fans would love to see Jon Bernthal don the costume again in an MCU project.

Blade (Wesley Snipe’s Blade)

Marvel’s first attempt at the vampire hunter was a massive success amongst the fans and it also received a fairly positive critical response. The news of Mahershala Ali being cast as the character in the upcoming Blade reboot from director Bassam Tariq has fans both excited and sad considering they will miss Wesley Snipe’s take on the role. Fans are already wondering of ways through which Wesley Snipe’s Blade can be brought into the MCU. The multiverse seems like an ideal way of bringing both the fans of the original and the reboot together.

Venom (Sony’s Venom)

There are already rumors surrounding Tom Hardy’s Venom making an appearance in the MCU with Spider-Man: No Way Home as his introduction. According to a deal between Marvel and Sony Pictures, there’s only a certain number of appearances Spider-Man can make into the MCU. The director of Venom: Let There Be Carnage has confirmed that we will get to see a face-off between Spider-Man and Venom. Recently, Tom Hardy was spotted wearing a Spider-Man: No Way Home hat and this kicked off rumors of a potential Venom appearance in the movie.

So these are the Marvel Multiverse Characters we’d like to see in the MCU. Who would you like to add? Let us know in the comments.
