8 Marvel Projects That Can Introduce Deadpool Into MCU

Ever since Ryan Reynolds starred as Wade Wilson (Deadpool), the audience couldn’t seem to fill their appetite with him. No, they always wanted more. With two blockbuster movies in a row, Deadpool very easily established itself as a successful franchise. But just to remind you, Deadpool is not your average Joe. He’s fierce, extremely abrasive, and of course, full of dark humor. These qualities were surprisingly a win-win for the character on the big screen. Now, considering the mutants are on their way to the MCU, how can we see the Red Masked Man? Well, here are 8 Marvel projects that can introduce Deadpool into MCU.

Marvel Projects That Can Introduce Deadpool

1. Loki, Season 1, Episode 6 (Release: July 14, 2021)

The Disney+ series Loki is going in full swing, with new episodes releasing every episode. This six-episode miniseries is a feast for the fans and has already given a lot. Considering the nature of the show so far, it’s all about the multiverse and one too many variants coming into play. The post-credit scene of episode 4 introduced us to four new variants of Loki himself – Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, Old Loki, and Gator Loki. So why not give a shot to Deadpool and make this whole multiverse entourage even crazier?

Wade Wilson is just the perfect guy that could pop up in such events, acting all wavy. Now, imagine a conversation of this loud mouth with one of the Lokis? Moreover, with different Variants of Loki in play, Marvel Studios could add to this with Deadpool by bringing in his 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine Variant. This would be a straight reference post-credits scene in Deadpool 2.

2. What If…? (August 2021)

Marvel Projects That Can Introduce Deadpool

Marvel’s What If…? is all set to take a look back at the 23 movies in Phases 1-3. Honestly, it sounds like the most interesting project so far as Marvel takes a leap into the world of animation. It all circulates around the idea of a multiverse, different realities, and different outcomes. It’s all set to change the future of the MCU, and might even open a small window for Deadpool to come to the MCU. This could be a nice way for Marvel to answer Wade’s actions if he had been present in the MCU during the Infinity Saga.

3. Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 17, 2021)

X-Men Deadpool Avengers MCU

Wade Wilson and Peter Parker share a very extensive history when it comes to comics. Both have been on numerous adventures and easily make for the best duo on print and screen. So, it would make sense for Deadpool to actually show up in No Way Home, somewhere in the post-credits though because the movie is anyway loaded with too many characters. Considering the nature of the film, multiverse, it points to yet another opening by Marvel to introduce Wade. So, let’s hope for this bromance to unfold soon in the MCU!

4. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (March 25, 2022)

After No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2 seems like the perfect opportunity for Wade to pop up because by then, the multiverse would be firmly established by then. Doctor Strange sequel has been rumored to include versions of MCU characters played by actors previously in the running to play them. Once again this is a perfect opportunity for Reynolds to kill off his previous character for the MCU. Including all the madness in this movie, Marvel would blow the entire place up if Deadpool was to show up in the most-anticipated sequel.

5. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17, 2023)

Marvel Projects That Can Introduce Deadpool

Ant-Man 3 is all set to dive deeper into the Quantum Realm, as till now, it was only accessible Pym Particles or a sorcerer’s Sling Ring. That’s the reason why it has never been explored fully, heavily used in Ant-Man movies and Avengers: Endgame. Speaking of that, Scott & Hope Van Dyne are all set to encounter Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. He’s another character who’s making his way to Marvel after the Fox merger. So, why not make it a perfect moment by calling in Deadpool too, and even crack some jokes on both the Studios? Moreover, Scott Lang’s sloppy humor makes it the perfect conversation with Deadpool on the other side.

6. Fantastic Four (TBA)

Marvel’s first family is coming to the MCU with John Watts as the director, all thanks to the Fox merger again. Even though it makes sense that Marvel would want to solely focus on the core team in their first solo flick, having Deadpool irritate them somehow wouldn’t be a bad move. In fact, Marvel has seen its fair share of runs featuring Wade Wilson alongside Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben. Now, this is again something that Marvel can benefit from the Fox merger. The movie is somewhat two years far from us, so any detail regarding the plot is still unknown.

7. The Mutants (TBA)

As per the rumors, Marvel is currently developing a reboot of the X-Men movies which will go by the name of The Mutants. Of course, there are no concrete detail or theories apart from Feige as the producer, this movie is believed to introduce the mutants into the MCU. So, if none of the above-mentioned movies bring Deadpool to us, then this might. Plus, it might just give a lot more screentime to Wade Wilson to be received well by the viewers. The theory regarding this film says that it will focus on the mutants in their earlier days, just like Wilson, rather than the actual X-Men team assembling, etc.

8. Deadpool 3 (TBA)

Deadpool 3 in The Theatres

Ryan Reynolds’ two solo Deadpool films are the highest-grossing movies in the entire Fox X-Men catalog domestically and worldwide. Now, considering that these movies are R-Rated, it’s particularly impressive. See, one way or the other, Deadpool is coming to the MCU and the most obvious way is the confirmed movie Deadpool 3. The solo flick will definitely allow the fans to understand the character better in terms of the MCU, and see Wade Wilson adjusting to this new environment. And let’s not forget the continuous bashing that Spider-Man and Fox will now get that Deadpool has more than 2 hrs to speak.

So these are all the Marvel Projects that can introduce Deadpool into the MCU. How would you like to see Deadpool enter the MCU? Let us know in the comments below!
