Who is Renslayer’s Second Analyst? Is TVA A Front Created By Kang?

Loki episode 2, “The Variant,” has definitely changed things for the MCU. One cannot possibly imagine where the Universe will go after the events of Loki. Moreover, in just two episodes the TVA has a major challenge as they come across Lady Loki. But that was the highlight. Let’s dissect the episode. When Ravonna is visited by Mobius in her office, it’s revealed that she has another analyst working for her. So, who is Renslayer’s second Analyst? Could it be Kang the Conqueror?

Who is Renslayer’s Second Analyst Apart From Mobuis?

When Mobius visited Judge Ravonna in her office, she mentions that Mobius is not the only analyst she has working for her. Furthermore, it appears as though Mobius had never met them. And this analyst that we talk about is highly successful too, as hinted by the trophies showcased by Ravonna. So, who could be this other analyst? Well, I have an amazing theory for you. This actually could be Kang the Conqueror – The next big bad of the MCU. But before I get there, let me cover something else.

Who is Renslayer’s Second Analyst

I believe that this second analyst could be a variant of Mobius himself. This variant could have been pulled from a branching timeline and recruited into the TVA, like Loki. I say this because of a shadowed hint in the episode and during this meeting itself. In a scene when Mobius set his drink down and is interrupted by Ravonna for not using a coaster. He defends by saying that this could be her other analyst, and not him. Renslayer countered that statement and claimed they’ve all come from him over time. I know, this could be a reference to his sloppy personality, but it could also back my claim! Now, let’s get to the time-traveling maniac, Kang!

Kang Created The Time Keepers, TVA, & The Sacred Timeline

Who is Renslayer’s Second Analyst?

I’ll try to paraphrase this theory for you. See, first, Kang is a time traveler and Loki is over and all a time travel show. So before his confirmed appearance in Ant-Man 3, there’s not much debate if he is seen in Loki too. In some way, Loki’s initial gut could be right. What if there are no three giant space lizards? Let me take you back to the roots. In the comics, the Time Keepers named Ast, Vort, and Zanth are creations of “He Who Remains.” Now, this guy is the final TVA agent left at the end of time. So, he created the Time Keepers to pass on his lessons to the next universal cycle. But the biggest catch is, in the comics, Ravonna is a lover of Kang the Conqueror!

Now, so far, we know that even Mobius has never seen the Time Keepers. Ravonna’s relationship with Kang in the comics and the MCU will definitely pan out. While speaking with Mobius, Judge Renslayer described Loki as insubordinate, stubborn, and unpredictable. To that, she said that this sounds like someone she knows. And this could be a major reference to Kang, as he’s a time-traveler too. Now, if we closely look at the Time Keeper in the middle, the resemblance to Kang is almost uncanny. That’s because he could’ve derived the motivation from himself to make the Time Keepers. Plus, he also created the Sacred Timeline, which we’ll discuss now.

Kang is Selling The Idea Of Sacred Timeline With The TVA

Long story short, Kang, while being a mortal, has lived since the 3rd millennium, i.e., the 31st century. In the comics, he’s used the help of characters like Doctor Doom, and Reed Richards. But in the MCU, it could all date back to the events of Endgame, when Hulk discovered the Immortality machine. If you remember the experiments on Scott Lang, he saw all the phases of life. This means that time actually passed through him. So, in the MCU, The discovery of time travel by the Avengers is what ultimately led to Kang’s own discovery of time travel.

Kang has perfected Hulk’s immortality machine and continuously used it to de-age himself every time he grew old. And with this, he travels and conquers worlds. Hence, came in the Time Keepers. Ravonna says that the Time Keepers dictate the Sacred Timeline and events, but its’ actually Kang! That is why the Time Heist was meant to happen so that Kang could get a hold of the Immortality Machine. But the other variants that breach the timeline must be reprimanded. Makes sense, doesn’t it?

Honestly, in my opinion, Kang’s appearance in the show won’t surprise me, but I am excited about it! Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, and Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Eugene Cordero in undisclosed roles. The series premieres on June 9 on Disney+. New episodes release every Wednesday.
