Loki Theory Suggests Time Keepers Are Stopping The Birth of Wanda’s Kids

The Disney+ series Loki is responsible for bringing many characters into the MCU. Characters like Judge Renslayer, Mobius, and the entire TVA itself are a treat for us. But there’s a trio that particularly stands out, and that is the Time-Keepers. Miss Minutes’ presentation in the first episode revealed that these three divine entities created the Sacred Timeline. This came in the wake of the events of a Multiversal war. Moreover, Loki established the existence of Nexus beings. Hence, we find ourselves in a sphere with Wanda in between. However, a crazy theory suggests that the Time-Keepers are stopping Wanda’s kids’ birth. Let’s check it out.

Time-Keepers Are Stopping the Birth of Wanda’s Kids

WandaVision gave us a look into Wanda’s subconscious in the form of commercials. The commercials introduced a brand of antidepressants known as Nexus. After the ending of WandaVision, the link between mood stabilization and timeline manipulation was a lot more clear. So, how does this connect with the Time-Keepers? Why would these “three giant space lizards” be concerned about Wanda and her kids?

In WandaVision, we were introduced to Billy and Tommy, otherwise known in the comics as Speed and Wiccan. Loki explained that Nexus beings can have a direct impact on the Sacred Timeline, something that the Time-Keepers and all of the TVA have owed to protect. In the comics, Scarlet Witch is a Nexus Being, along with Kang the Conqueror. These Nexus beings are so powerful that they can affect the probability and the flow of time. This brings us to Wanda’s kids. one theory suggests that the TVA will stop Wanda from reuniting with her kids.

Wanda, being a Nexus being, is already a threat to the Time-Keepers. This theory claims that when a Nexus being has children, it results in further beings with powers to rival the Time-Keepers themselves. And that is the last thing that they want – more beings with the powers to disrupt the flow of time. Hence, this is why the Time-Keepers could be preventing Wanda’s kids’ birth to prevent a catastrophic event.

Time-Keepers Are Terrified of The Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch is one of the strongest characters in all of Marvel with powers unparalleled. But this theory actually holds a strong standing, all thanks to Avengers Forever #8. It claimed that the Time-Keepers are rather terrified than cautious of Wanda having children. Moreover, they initially more active in pruning timelines that could result in the same outcome. Considering the Time-Keepers and their dictatorship style, this theory seems fit. It’s almost as if they are right away ruling out the possibility of any possible competitor.

Birth of Wanda’s Kids

The second post-credit scene showed Wanda isolated in the hills and reading The Darkhold in the astral place. But right before the final end scene of the series, we could hear her children calling out her name. So, if the Scarlet Witch’s agenda is actually to bring back her children, then we will find ourselves in the middle of an ideology war. But this would further lead to a Multiversal war, which would force Doctor Strange to intervene as the arbitrator of stability.

Loki’s Connection With Multiverse Of Madness

Initially, there were some really compelling theories claiming that Wanda would travel through the Nightmare dimension to bring back her children. Moreover, the show also gave some cheeky references to one of Strange’s villains, Nightmare. The biggest link between Loki and Doctor Strange 2 is the writer itself, Michael Waldron. He has previously said, “I think everybody will have a better idea of that when on the other end of it (Loki).”

If we talk about Kang, we theorized early on that the Time-Keepers are in fact Kang the Conqueror. Moreover, the three figures represent three different versions of Kang, hence forming the Council Of Kang. The time-traveler maniac is set to appear in Ant-Man 3, but not sure if he will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Considering that he is a Nexus being, his relationship with time and Wanda herself is something to explore further in the MCU.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, and Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Eugene Cordero in undisclosed roles. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to release in theaters on 25 March 2022.
