The Avengers: Endgame Time Heist Probably Could Have Been Different

Marvel concluded the Infinity Saga with Avengers: Endgame. The whole concept of Endgame was to redeem the heroes, i.e., the Avengers. Originally, the Avengers lost against Thanos and his army in Infinity War. This happened because Doctor Strange viewed more than 14 million possibilities. As a result, he willingly gave up the Time Stone. As we know, the concrete deal was to return the Stones to where the heroes took them from. But it seems like the Avengers Endgame time heist probably could have been different.

A Change In The Avengers Endgame Time Heist

The runtime for Avengers: Endgame was over three hours. Hence, the writers had ample time to shed proper light on the concept of time-traveling in the MCU. Of course, the said concept is too complex. Hence, the Russos and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely could hardly agree on how time travel would change the future of the MCU. That is because the Universe is too vast and nothing should interfere with the continuity.

But as expected, some issues were noticed by the fans. Recently, a viral TikTok video is questioning the decision-making behind the Avengers involved in this adventure. As we all remember, the team went to different places and timelines to recover the stones. This was a fairly difficult task. It also resulted in a mishap where Loki escaped with the Tessaract. The viral TikToker explains that they could have used fewer resources by going back to the time immediately after Thanos snapped. That’s because he was at his weakest at that moment.

Why This Theory Could Prove Right & Wrong

Of course, this little theory is not entirely wrong or right. It could be right because Thanos was in fact at his weakest. We had not seen the Mad Titan scream so much in pain and agony ever before in the entire Infinity War. Hence, if the Avengers had gone back to the time immediately after Thanos snapped, they might have had an upper hand. Moreover, he gave the biggest clue to Thor in order to win against him. And that was to go for the head. Moreover, they wouldn’t have risked needing extra Pym Particles and could have avoided Natasha’s sacrifice at Vormir.

But this could have also lost them the only opportunity they have had. Remember, Thanos still had all Infinity Stones intact. And we know that he is not afraid to kill or use the Stones to his benefit. In a crazy turn of events, we could lose all the Avengers with no doubt. But yes, we can open ourselves to all sorts of theories and outcomes.
