Some Interesting Facts About the Movie
- Soorarai Pottru’s title poster was made available to the public on 13th of April 2019. And its 1st look poster was released on 10th of November 2019. Soorarai Pottru’s official teaser was released on 7th of January 2020. The movie was scheduled to release on 9th of April 2020, but was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
- Suriya had to shell out about Rupees 47 lakhs for each day to rent an aircraft. The team shot almost a couple of weeks inside the aircraft, which indeed increased the budget of the movie.
- The Telugu version of Soorarai Pottru was called by the name: Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra that will be also releasing on the same date. Soorarai Pottru makers have also announced that the movie will be dubbed in Kannada.
- The movie is based on events during the life of Air Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath.
