According to reports, Russell was distressed with budget constraints from the studio and vented out his frustration on the crew. Alfred Hitchcock had earned a huge name and accolades for his professional work on the screen. But he was infamous as a director behind the scenes for his methods. Tippi rose to prominence after starring in Alfred’s ‘The Birds’ and ‘Marnie’. The actress accused the director of making sexual advances towards her. She said that he allegedly tried to blackmail and threaten her career many times and the actress completely shunned him off.
