All 8 Villains Confirmed To Appear in Zack Snyder’s Justice League

8 Villains Confirmed in Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Everybody knows, that the league was altered,
Everybody knows, what Whedon did!

Everybody knew, the war wasn’t over,
Everybody knows, that Snyder won.

Everybody knows the fight was fixed,
But Zack stayed strong, the fans got rich.

That’s how it goes
Everybody knows….

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is currently production as Snyder is conducting some additional filming for his cut. It’d be okay for you to feel worried about Justice League because it will be stuffed with numerous characters. But you have to keep in mind that this cut of the film/series is 4 hours long. So, almost every character that comes in will be fleshed out properly. With that being said, 8 villains of the DCEU are confirmed to appear in the upcoming HBO Max miniseries. Here’s every one of them.

Darkseid

8 Villains Confirmed in Zack Snyder's Justice League

Instead of Steppenwolf, it was Darkseid’s younger version Uxas who was supposed to be a part of the ancient battle that took place on Earth. The Amazons, Atlanteans, humans & the old Gods fought against Uxas and his army. There is supposed to be a fight between Darkseid and one of the familiar Old Gods. Apart from this ancient battle, Darkseid will be the one pulling the strings of Steppenwolf throughout the film. And we would even get to see his full form at the very end of the movie when he appears through a Boom Tube. All of this build-up for Darkseid was removed from the Justice League, but fortunately for us, we will get to see it next year.

Steppenwolf

One of the main reasons why Justice League failed was because Warner Bros. turned Steppenwolf into a puny little one dimensional villain. “She’s power, and power is the only law. You’re all too weak to see the truth!” “Primitive beings…” “This world…is my right!! Who are you to defy me?” These are the kind of dialogues that only a video game villain would get. Now we don’t get the guarantee that these dialogues would change, but the one thing that we are sure of is that Steppenwolf will still be a much better villain than he was in Whedon’s cut. He’d get his original look, which will surely be unique and threatening. And hopefully, his story arc will be much better too.

DeSaad

We saw one of Darkseid’s most dark-hearted minions in the Snyder Cut trailer that was shown at the DC FanDome. Like Darkseid, his role might also be a bit smaller. But, the movie will surely set him up for a bigger role in Justice League 2, if the sequel happens.

Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor only showed up for a cameo towards the end of Josstice League. He offered Deathstroke to join his Injustice League/Legion of Doom. But it has been confirmed that this post credits scene was added in the film by Whedon. So, we are sure that it will be scrapped from the movie/series, and Snyder will add the original scene(s) that he shot with Jesse Eisenberg. His scene will surely be related to the ending of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition where he warned Batman of Darkseid’s arrival.

Joker

The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that Jared Leto will reprise his role as Joker in the director’s cut of Justice League. Leto has possibly even joined Snyder on the set of Justice League. This Joker appearance could do lead us to 3 new possibilities. The first is that it could put Batfleck & Joker in one frame. We might get the Batman & Joker confrontation that we always wanted. The second possibility is that if Joker & Batman don’t meet up, then Joker might actually team up with Deathstroke, setting up the plot of a solo Batfleck series on HBO Max. The third possibility is that Leto’s appearance could redeem his criticized take on the character as Snyder might be able to handle the crazy side of Joker much better than David Ayer. And with that, we might just get to see the Ayer cut of Suicide Squad after the Snyder Cut.

Deathstroke

The Wrap recently reported that Joe Manganiello is set to reprise his role as Deathstroke in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. He has also joined Snyder on the set for reshoots, so there’s a chance that the footage we will see involving Deathstroke will be completely new. What I mean by “completely new” is that it won’t just be different from the “Legion of Doom” post credits scene, but it will probably be different from what Manganiello had originally shot for Zack Snyder. With all the rumors regarding the Batfleck solo project on HBO Max, it would be safe to believe that Deathstoke’s scene in Justice League would set that up.

Parademons

Now everyone knows that the Parademons aren’t the main villains of the film. But their involvement is still going to be important as they are the ones that the Justice League will take down like fodder to give us most of the cooler fight sequences in the film.

Ares

8 Villains Confirmed in Zack Snyder's Justice League

Ares was the main villain in the first Wonder Woman movie and had a short appearance in 2017’s Justice League. He may not be the villain of Justice League yet, but he still is a villain of the DCEU. So, his presence on this list counts, and we should be really excited for his appearance because the old God that Darkseid is going to fight is none other than him.

There’s a chance that even more DCEU villains could show up in the movie. But we’ll have to wait and see about that. Until then, which of these villains are you most excited to see in Justice League? Tell us in the comments.
