Doctor Strange 2 – Kang The Conqueror Causes The Multiverse of Madness

Kang Causes Multiverse of Madness:

Now that Kang is going to appear in Ant-Man 3, a lot of possibilities have opened up. He has become the glue between not one or 2, but possibly 5 different projects. He could be the one who would connect 4 projects (Loki, Ant-Man, and the Wasp 3, Young Avengers & Fantastic Four) to Avengers 5. But there’s one more project to which Kang could be directly tied to. And that’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Kang is a time-traveling villain. In the comics, multiple versions of Kang exist throughout the timeline. His goal is to conquer everything and create a world outside of time, that is full of Kangs. So, after conquering several worlds in the future, he visits the past and begins his conquering sport using his futuristic technology. As he travels to the past, he first visits ancient Egypt and becomes emperor Rama-Tut. He ruled for ages and had a hand in several events of the MCU’s past. He was even responsible for the evolution of Marvel’s first mutant, En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse. After Rama-Tut we see his 20th Century version, the Scarlet Centurion. As he met Doctor Doom, he designed a new armor to become the Scarlet Centurion.

Another version of Kang that exists in the present day is none other than Nathaniel Richards. He is the teenage version of Kang, and he becomes the Iron Lad. He joins the Young Avengers to stop himself from becoming the time-traveling villain in the future. Another version of Kang is his retired futuristic persona of Immortus.

In the MCU, time travel doesn’t work in the traditional way. Hulk clearly explained that changing the past doesn’t change the future. It just creates a new timeline. So, if Kang would have left his time period to conquer the world in the past, then he would have created one or many other timelines. Thus, the creation of all the timelines by Kang could become a reason for the Multiverse of Madness. We’re not saying that Kang alone will be responsible for the madness in the multiverse, as Wanda, Loki, the Avengers, and Thanos could also have a hand in it. But, Kang could be someone who is majorly responsible for the creation of so many different timelines.

This way, Kang could become the connective tissue between Doctor Strange 2 & Avengers 5, even though he may not be the real villain of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Loki series could first reveal Kang. We know that the TVA will be involved in the Loki series. Their job is to fix all the discrepancies in time throughout the multiverse. Set photos have suggested that the Loki would actually be working with the TVA. The theory behind it could be that the TVA catches Loki when he messes with time. So for his freedom, Loki might make a deal with the TVA to help them. And who will he be helping the TVA against? The answer obviously has to be Kang the Conqueror.

Kevin Feige revealed that the Loki series will also be connected to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Since Kang has been running rampant in the multiverse, creating new timelines, the Loki series could directly lead him into Doctor Strange 2. Here, we will see the further exploration of how Kang is creating chaos throughout the multiverse. After establishing a connection between Doctor Strange 2 & Loki, Kang could then appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp 3, where we will see his Quantum Realm city, Chronopolis.

What do you think of this theory? Do you think Kang could be connected to the Multiverse of Madness? Tell us in the comments down below.
