Age of Ultron – This Unused Design for the Iron Man Mark 45 Suit Looks Awesome

Avengers: Age of Ultron is a very underappreciated movie. I’d argue that along with many aspects of the film, the suits of all the Avengers were handled extremely well. Black Widow, Captain America & Iron Man in particular looked stunning. If we talk about just Iron Man, he brought 3 new suits into play. The first was an upgrade to the Mark 42 armor that was blown up in Iron Man 3. Then we got to see the Hulkbuster make its debut. And the most stunning Iron Man suit in the film was the Mark 45. But maybe, Marvel could’ve used the following design which appears slightly better:

Obviously different people will have different opinions. So, for some of us, this alternate design may not be better than the one we saw in the film. Honestly, it’s okay that Marvel didn’t use it because it looks marginally sleeker. We got a sleek nano-tech armor in Infinity War. That armor wouldn’t have felt so special if we would’ve already seen the design presented above. Anyway, concept designer Phil Saunders also shared several alternate designs for the Hulkbuster armor. Here’s the most unique one of them:

Could the Hulkbuster armor return in the future? In fact, could any of the Iron Man armors return? We’ll have to wait and see about that. We don’t know about the Iron Man suits, but we do know that the dead characters from Age of Ultron who are returning in the future are Vision, Quicksilver and possibly Ultron.

Here is the official synopsis for Avengers: Age of Ultron:

“Marvel Studios unleashes the next global phenomenon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Good intentions wreak havoc when Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) unwittingly creates Ultron (James Spader), a terrifying A.I. monster who vows to achieve “world peace” via mass extinction. Now, Iron Man, Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) – alongside Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) – must reassemble to defeat Ultron and save mankind…if they can! This action-packed adventure is a mind-blowing blast!”
