Exclusive New Video Reveals The Entire Cast & Characters The Suicide Squad

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is going to be beyond epic. He started off the panel by introducing all cast members and their characters. Apparently, we had figured out some of the characters that the actors are playing in the film. But we weren’t right about a few of them. Now, Gunn has revealed the entire cast through a new video. Here, take a look at the cast & characters video that was revealed during the panel:

To jot it all down, we have:

  • Idris Elba as Bloodsport
  • John Cena as Peacemaker
  • David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man
  • Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2
  • Steve Agee as King Shark
  • Nathan Fillion as TDK
  • Mayling Ng as Mongal
  • Flula Borg as Javelin
  • Sean Gunn as Weasel
  • Michael Rooker as Savant
  • Pete Davidson as Blackguard
  • Peter Capaldi as The Thinker
  • Alice Braga as Sol Soria
  • Storm Reid as Tyla, Bloodsport’s daughter
  • Juan Diego Botto as General Luna
  • Joaquín Cosío as Major General Suarez
  • Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcout
  • Viola Davis as Amanda Waller
  • Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn
  • Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag
  • Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang

Now, we’re not going to break a few of them down. Let’s start with Idris Elba’s character, Bloodsport. No one was able to guess his character right. People thought that he is playing Sportsmaster or Bronze Tiger or Vigilante. But no, his character Bloodsport is a bloak who carries an insane number of weapons on his missions (filling the void for Deadshot). Through the panel, it was revealed that Bloodsport was imprisoned because he shot superman (possibly with a Kryptonite bullet). He is the father of Tyla (Storm Reid) and his suit just looks epic.

Harley Quinn is getting a comic accurate suit. It looks very close to the suit we saw in Injustice 2 (and she has another great costume in the film). We also got to see everyone else’s suits. Polka-Dot Man, Ratcatcher 2, TDK, Javelin, Savant, Blackguard, the Thinker, and others are all cool, but among the coolest characters in this film is none other than John Cena’s Peacemaker. Take a look at his suit:

Peacemaker will literally do anything to maintain peace. James Gunn said that he’s “the guy who believes in peace at any cost.” It’s going to be crazy, unique & totally epic. This was the role that James Gunn originally planned for Dave Bautista. But since Bautista’s schedule was too packed, Cena joined in.

Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag is one of the returning characters. Once again, he is going to lead the squad upon Waller’s orders. The great thing about Rick Flag this time is that James Gunn has given him a comic accurate suit with the yellow T-shirt and everything. It’s magnificent! Next up we have 2 CGI characters of the film – King Shark & Weasel.

Both these characters will certainly be among the big surprises of Gunn’s upcoming film. King Shark will be in his beach shorts! He is surely going to be one of the funniest characters in the film. It seems that Gunn isn’t holding back upon the movie. Sure, he has got a big cast in line, but he also stated that we shouldn’t get too attached to all the characters. So, no matter how great the characters turn out to be, there will surely be many who might not survive the film. But we don’t have to think about that right now. Here, take a look at a new poster that was revealed in the panel:

We’ve seen the suits of almost all the characters. But, three of the cast members who were initially announced were not a part of the above video. We don’t know who Taika Waititi, Tinashe Kajese, and Julio Ruiz are playing. Maybe we will find out next year. The one thing we know for now is that The Suicide Squad will literally blow our minds when it arrives on August 6, 2021.
