#1: Martyrs (2008)
Martyrs is one of those movies that you would never want to watch again, even if you like it. It is an exceptional horror movie that will haunt you for the rest of your life. Filled with blood and gore, this movie manages to take violence on another level. It features torture, murder, and ruthlessness in detail. This movie will attack you emotionally as well.
#2: Hostel (2005)
This movie doesn’t waste any time with the story as there is no story, but when it comes to gore and horror, it delivers. The movie starts off slowly and it becomes entirely something else in the second half. The torture scenes are very graphic and some scenes will stick with you for the rest of your life. There is one scene involving an eye that will scar you forever.
#3: Saw Series (2004 – 2010)
Countless people have thrown up inside theatres after watching Saw movies as these movies just find new and weird ways to disturb people. After the first Saw movie, this franchise dipped in terms of quality but amped up the gore and torture. This franchise features some of the most inventive death scenes of all time and it is a treat for gore lovers.
#4: Ichi the Killer (2001)
The lead character of this movie is a masochistic and psychotic serial killer, so it would be foolish not to expect high-level gore and violence from this movie. This movie is messed up in all aspects and it is vomit-inducing at times. It is genuinely disturbing and contains some of the most shocking movie scenes. Not even a single character is spared from torture in this movie, and that includes children.
#5: Evil Dead (1981 & 2013)
Sam Raimi’s original Evil Dead sets the precedent for this genre as it showed us how to make a terrifyingly entertaining gore movie. The remake took it a step further as it doubled down on the gore and violence. You’ll see all kinds of internal body parts in the remake which was also marketed as one of the goriest movies of all time.
#6: Cabin Fever (2002)
Cabin Fever is an absolute gorefest that takes the ‘alone in the woods’ concept to deliver a terrifying movie. It is full of over-the-top gory scenes that will disgust you. It lacks a bit in terms of character development and story but fans do not watch gore movies for a good plot.
#7: Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
Dubbed as one of the most controversial movies of all time, Cannibal Holocaust is a cruel movie that has all the vomit-inducing elements we don’t want to see in a movie. We can handle the gore to a large extent but this movie features straight-up animal torture, and the worst part is that it actually happened, they literally shred real animals to pieces.
#8: Dead Alive (Braindead) (1992)
Granted, Dead Alive is a horror-comedy, but that does not stop it from splattering body-parts all over the screen. It features extreme gore, but the humor element makes it watchable and even entertaining. Dead Alive is among the best horror-comedy movies of all time as it features more comedy and horror than most movies.
High Tension is a highly stylish horror-thriller that features all sorts of mutilation. It is filled with blood, enough to make anyone queasy. It is a homage to all the classic horror movies and it uses the same formula. There are a few irregularities in the story but it does not lack in terms of gore, in fact, it overdoes it oftentimes.
#10: Grotesque (2009)
This movie features nothing but torture. There is no story, no character development, just traumatic torture. This movie has no redeeming qualities as it will scar you for life. You’ll feel sick after watching this movie. The violence depicted in it is highly graphic and not for the faint-hearted.
