Supporting Characters Who Will Get Bigger Roles in Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Ever since Zack Snyder’s Justice League was announced for HBO Max, all the news updates that we’ve been getting are about that film (or series). People were unhappy that the story arcs of all 6 heroes were shortened in the theatrical cut. Steppenwolf proved to be the worst villain of all. But all these heroes & Steppenwolf will get to do more. Along with them, the supporting characters that were reduced to just having minor cameos (or completely cut out of the film) will now have much more to do. Here’s every supporting character who will get their fair share of screen time in Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Commissioner Gordon

Commissioner Gordon only sort of made a cameo in Justice League. JK Simmons recently said that there won’t be a significant increase in the screen time of Gordon, but there is surely a bit more to show than what we saw in the theatrical cut. So, let’s see what else we could get from Gordon.

Alfred

Compared to all others on this list, Alfred did get a much more screen time because of Batman. But, there should be a bit more than what we saw him do. One scene that does come to our mind is when Superman returned in his suit at Batman’s hanger. It was the deleted scene where Alfred said – “He said you’d come. Now, let’s hope you’re not too late.” There could be more unused scenes.

Silas Stone

Cyborg’s father Silas Stone got a very different story arc in the theatrical cut than he was supposed to get in the film. It is no spoiler as everyone knows that Steppenwolf would’ve killed him in Star Labs. Beyond that, Stone would’ve returned as a temptation for Cyborg within the Mother Box. We’d get to see all of that now.

Mera

We’re hoping that Mera would get a little more to do than the one scene she was a part of in the theatrical cut. A lot of Atlantis scenes were edited out of the film. Maybe there is more of Mera. Maybe this is the last we are going to see of Amber Heard as Mera.

Nuidis Vulko

Willem Dafoe’s Vulko got a significant role in the Aquaman movie. But he was supposed to appear in Justice League before that. His scenes were cut out of that film when Joss Whedon took over. Rumor has it that his scenes in Justice League wouldn’t have sat well with the story of Aquaman. But then again, this film might be a one off, so Nuidis Vulko should appear. He’d be the one to give Arthur his Quindent.

Iris

There was a scene where Barry shattered the glass and went on to save Iris West (Kiersey Clemons). Maybe there’s just that little scene. Or maybe there could be more for Iris. Let’s wait and see.

Darkseid

Instead of Steppenwolf, it was Darkseid’s younger version Uxas who was supposed to be a part of the ancient battle that took place on Earth. The Amazons, Atlanteans, humans & the old Gods fought against Uxas and his army. There is supposed to be a fight between Darkseid and Ares. Apart from this ancient battle, Darkseid will be shown to be pulling the strings of Steppenwolf throughout the film. And we would even get to see his full form at the very end of the movie when he appears through a Boom Tube.

Lois Lane

DC Comics Super-Heroines

Lois Lane was not used a whole lot in the theatrical cut. Like Commissioner Gordon, there is a chance that she might not get a significant increase in screen time. But there is a surety for us to get some more from Amy Adams’ character.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is supposedly going to be 4 hours long and 3 hours of that is going to be completely new footage. So, let’s see what happens.
