Avengers Endgame Didn’t Show us an Amazing Black Panther Fight Scene

Endgame Didn’t Show Black Panther Fight Scene:

With the Second coming of Thanos and the return of a lot of superheroes that fell to his rampage in Avengers: Infinity War, we knew Avengers Endgame would have one of the most epic fight scenes in the history of entertainment. Endgame did not disappoint. It lived up to the expectations and delivered more than two hours of solid excitement. The fight between Thanos and the Big Three of the Avengers – Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man, was one of the highlights of the movie. When the rest of the superhero folks jumped in, the hype train went into overdrive. But turns out, there was another scene involving another popular Marvel Superhero and a particular supervillain that the theatres did not show us. The Superhero we are talking about is Black Panther, the King of Wakanda.

Contrary to what the movie showed us in its humongous run time, a lot of the movie’s scenes were cut from the theatrical as well as the director’s cut. One of the scenes was Black Panther and one of the generals of Thanos duking it out in the rubble that was once the Avengers headquarters. Marvel Editor Jeff Ford has revealed that a rather cool fight scene between Black Panther aka T’Challa and Ebony Maw, one of the four generals of Thanos’ Black Order, was deleted from the movie’s run time. To top it off, the scene was not just cut but also jumbled around and mixed with other scenes. Jeff Ford says and we quote:

Endgame Didn’t Show Black Panther Fight Scene

“We didn’t really shuffle it around a lot. I remember we did have a much more elaborate sequence with [Thanos’s henchman, Ebony] Maw,” Ford told /Film. “His battle with Panther was longer. I remember we took it down because when they come through the portals, they kind of introduce all these characters into the story that haven’t been in the movie yet…Panther and Maw felt like, that’s not the story that we’re tracking, so maybe we reduce that stuff.”

The entire army of Wakanda came to help the Avengers defeat Thanos and his army. They were literally the first on the scene. The rest of the superheroes soon joined in through the same portals and that was when the battle ensued. During that battle, Black Panther and Ebony Maw fight head to head and T’Challa finally gets the upper hand against the telekinetic torture loving alien freak. Jeff Ford further goes on to explain the scene:

Endgame Didn’t Show Black Panther Fight Scene

“We ended up making sure we had a cool shot of Panther, but it was like, ‘Let’s make sure that every moment we engage in that section needs to lead us to that final confrontation with Tony and Thanos.’ So there were a few things we reduced there for that reason.”

The question still remains – why did they even consider doing this in the first place? Why was the scene cut for such trivial reasons!! You stabbed us in the back Marvel Studios!!
