Adam Sandler has made a lot of movies over the years and many people hate his movies with a passion. In their defense, he has made some terrible movies that are very hard to look at. He has won Razzie Awards 5 times and he has been nominated a total of 16 times. His movie Jack and Jill alone won 10 Razzies.
#2: He has made a lot of Comedy Albums
Adam Sandler left a huge impact on the show Saturday Night Live and it was only after SNL, that Sandler started getting big projects. On SNL, Sandler’s comedy album “Stan and Judy’s Kid” set a record for most albums sold by a comedy album in its first week. It debuted on #16 on the Billboard charts.
#3: His dog “Meatball” was his Best Man
Adam Sandler was clearly a dog person as he loved his dog “Meatball” so much that he decided to make him his Best Man at his wedding. In Sandler’s wedding, Meatball was dressed in a tuxedo, with a yarmulke on his head. This is the best way to treat your furry friend.

In the early 2000s, Adam Sandler was all the rage. He was making movies left and right. Due to that fact he was heavily considered for the lead role of Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005). But the makers ultimately went with Johnny Depp, as they felt that it was a complex character and Depp would be more equipped to handle such a role.

As it turns out, it is his own production company named ‘Happy Madison Productions’. Adam Sandler founded this production company which has produced most of his films since 1999. In 2010, Sandler’s nanny alleged that she was heavily underpaid and her working environment was like that of a slave. Sandler paid $80,000 to the nanny to resolve the matter outside the court and she signed a confidentiality agreement. In 2014, she changed her mind and tried to sue him again, violating the agreement in the process. So, the court ordered her to pay the $80,000 back to Sandler. Don’t be greedy kids.
#7: He owes his success to the comedian Dennis Miller
Sandler was only 17 when he was first discovered by the comedian Dennis Miller, who liked Sandler’s act and was very impressed by his talent. Miller then recommended him to Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels. After that, he was hired as a writer for SNL in 1990 and became a featured player the following year.

When Sandler was still a newcomer in the industry, he shared a space with the popular director Judd Apatow to save money and get by in the cutthroat industry. It was not until 2009 that the two finally worked together in “Funny People.” Both of them have struggled a lot over the years but they finally achieved what they wanted.

During the filming of the movie Billy Madison, there is a scene in which Sandler was hitting kids with a dodgeball. Apparently, he was not acting at the time as he totally went inside the skin of the character and started hitting those kids with his full force. The makers had to cut the take right before a few kids started crying.
