Marvel Fans Spot Nova in Avengers: Endgame
Avengers: Endgame was really the big finale event we deserved. No one would be ready to hear that it did have a few little problems, but what film doesn’t. Despite everything, it really was the biggest film of all time and had the greatest ending! Everyone came out thinking that they just watched the greatest film of all time because the final act really was a major emotional roller coaster! Endgame deserves every bit of praise that it is getting from everyone. The Easter Egg count for this movie is just insane as people spotted around 500 Easter Eggs & references throughout the film.
Among the Easter Eggs, one brilliant Easter Egg was Howard the Duck. Right when the Wasp walks into the scene, we see the ravagers and Howard the Duck walk in as well. But very recently, the directors confirmed that they actually hid Richard Rider aka Nova in the final battle of the film. In a recent video, they answered a bunch of questions from the fans. At the very end is the bit about Nova. Take a look:
Looking at this, Comicbook.com held a contest upon spotting Nova in the movie. Brandon Davis tweeted that whosever finds Nova in the film will get a digital code for Far From Home when it comes out. And people got to it.
It does make sense for Nova to be in the final fight because Infinity War & Endgame writers confirmed that they had a draft of Infinity War where Nova would have landed in the Sanctum Sanctorum and not Hulk. After Thanos decimates Xandar and the Nova Corps, Richard Rider was supposed to be the only survivor and he comes to Earth as the messenger. But since people didn’t exactly know who Nova was, the writers thought of leaving him out and wrote Hulk to be in that scene.
But there is a specific reason why we didn’t get to see the destruction of Xandar. Apparently Marvel could be saving it for his own solo movie. We’ve had quite a few teases for the space ranger including one from Spider-Man: Far From Home as well. So, a solo film is coming for sure. Just imagine Nova’s film ending with a post credits scene where he enters the final battle of Endgame through the portal.
This could be true but it seems that all this hard work to spot Nova was for nothing. The Russos confirmed through an email later on that the bit about Richard Rider was a joke on their part. The Russos have lied about so many things so many times. So, either this email could be a lie, or the part about the Nova cameo could be a lie. Perhaps the personality that people think is Nova may not be that. There were more than one Golden helmets seen in this scene so, it could just be a soldier of the Nova force on Xandar. We could imagine that a few soldiers may have survived the fight against Thanos and they showed up to fight 5 years later.
At this point of time, anything is possible and we can’t be certain regarding anything. Let’s just hope that this Nova ‘cameo’ we’re talking about does turn out to be true despite the email later on.
