Avengers: Endgame – Howard The Duck Cameo Was Almost Out of Plans

Thanos proved once again that he was, is, and will always be the biggest Marvel villain out there because it took all of the MCU superheroes to take one man down, with or without the Infinity Gauntlet. The incoming of all the characters who got snapped away into dust by the decimation played a crucial part and, in that incoming sequence, we saw Howard the Duck in a blink-and-miss cameo. Well, it has been revealed by the director of Avengers: Endgame that the cameo almost didn’t happen.

The cameo which made headlines was almost out of the plans of this epic film and, in a chat with Brandon Davis in ComicBook.com’s show ‘An Evening with Joe Russo’, Joe said,

“So crazy story. Literally a month ago…it was probably just over a month ago, it was one of the last things we did,” the director added “We were sitting in VFX and I was watching that shot of everyone coming out of the portals and I was like ‘God, it would be so awesome to have a Howard the Duck cameo here. And I just said to the VFX team Is there any way in hell you can pull this off?'” Joe continues. “We were literally like three days from ending all VFX shots and they looked at me and were like ‘We’ll see what we can do.'”

Well, it has been a hattrick of appearances in the MCU from Howard the Duck, as previously, we saw him in both the Guardians of the Galaxy movies where Seth Green voiced his character. But, for Endgame, sadly we didn’t get enough of Howard Duck and that’s why Seth couldn’t be able to enter into the cast of Endgame.
