Hulk V Thanos & Iron Man Family Deleted Scenes:
Avengers: Endgame was the biggest movie of all time just because it provided fans the eternal satisfaction that they had been longing for over the years. In our heads, we all wanted the “Avengers…Assemble” moment to happen with so many heroes. The Russos made that happen in the biggest way possible as they literally included everyone, even the side heroes and the relative armies Marvel has established throughout the galaxy over the years. But still, there were obviously a few little things that people missed in the movie, and one of those was a Hulk V Thanos 2.0.
Ever since Infinity War, people were highly anticipating a rematch between Hulk & Thanos. But the direction in which the writers took Endgame into, that actually became rather pointless. Smart Hulk was the best of both worlds, but he obviously wasn’t as powerful as raging and out of control Hulk we’re used to seeing. So, he never got a rematch. The only heroes who truly got a shot at Thanos were the ones that didn’t get proper time to take him on in Infinity War.
Iron Man, Thor, Hulk & Doctor Strange got their opportunities in Infinity War and so they got little to no screen time-fighting Thanos in Endgame. Captain America, on the other hand, didn’t face Thanos properly in Infinity War, and neither did Scarlet Witch. So they obviously got the biggest battles against him. The third individual to very rightly get that opportunity in Endgame was Captain Marvel. But still, Hulk’s concept is that he usually works in small bits and people do need to see him smash. Hulk was important since he was the one to bring everyone back, but the creatives may have missed a trick by not giving him another shot at Thanos.
Even the loss of Natasha didn’t enrage him as much. But it’s good to know that the second face-off between Hulk and Thanos was not always out of the question. We’ve got a new concept art image that is evidence that the creatives did think of it. Also, there’s another cool piece of artwork that shows the Iron Man family coming together in the battle. We only got the amazing shot of Pepper & Iron Man, but wouldn’t it be amazing to put Rhodey’s Iron Patriot and the Iron Spider in that shot as well. Take a look at this art work:
Well, we’re glad that the third shot didn’t make it to the final cut because Tony & Pepper kissing whilst the big battle was going on wouldn’t have made a lot of sense. Also, Aquaman already holds the prize for a moment like this during his big battle in his own solo film. But it sure would have been amazing to see the Iron family shot because Rhodey did not get any shot during the battle. It’s just sad that he doesn’t get any screen time in any of the battles. The only two times he was used extremely well was in Iron Man 2 & Civil War. We’ll have to wait and see whether he has a future in the MCU or not.
