Avengers: Endgame Team Intends to Bring Galactus Into The MCU

Avengers: Endgame has ended the first big storyline of the MCU, and with that conclusion, also came the end of the MCU big bad boss Thanos. The Mad Titan proved to be the best villain that MCU has ever had, and he totally came through with being the greatest Marvel villain ever. He was much better than what we imagined, or perhaps even wanted, and now he has raised the bar of villains so high. Looking at Thanos we’d surely want someone much bigger and better than him for the next big storyline of the MCU.

Avengers: Endgame Galactus MCU

With the Fox properties now being owned by Disney, Marvel has got access to a few great villains of all time. Majority of us could agree on the fact that the next big boss villain of Marvel would certainly be one of the characters that has come in with Fox. We know that Doctor Doom is going to be a big thing in the coming future, but he may not be the big bad that Thanos was. That deal could fall in the quarters of Galactus. Doctor Doom and Galactus could be the next Loki and Thanos of the MCU, even though both of them might walk into the picture in Phase 5.

Avengers: Endgame Galactus MCU

Well, we’re not alone to be wanting Galactus as the next main villain of Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Avengers: Endgame modeling supervisor Bruce Holcomb also wants the very same thing. ComicBook.com spoke with Industrial Light and Magic’s Bruce Holcomb, and here’s what he told the reporting giant when asked about the next preferable villain(s):

X-Men Marvel-Fox Villain MCU

“Galactus and Silver Surfer. We did Fantastic Four even though they were Fox properties. We did both the original and Rise of the Silver Surfer there and then we did a remake, but I don’t think anybody really got the cosmic family correct. I know that I’d really like to see a giant thing on that scale like Galactus show up and start stepping on towns and doing all kinds of weird cosmic-level stuff.

I’m very excited to see if they want to go that direction because to me, that was a lot of fun is whenever the cosmic level came into groups of superheroes that were on Earth.”

MCU Phase 4 Suicide Squad Thunderbolts

Well, he didn’t just stop at Galactus as he talked about bringing Namor to Marvel as well, given the success that Aquaman just had. He said:

“I’d like to see if they’re going to bring him up now that we’ve got Aquaman running around. I’d like to see what Marvel’s answer to that will be because I felt like in Aquaman, a lot of the stuff that was underwater to me…I felt like there’s something new that you can do underwater that isn’t so lit up and like a theme park ride type of thing.

I want to see something a little darker and scarier and murky and more monsters and stuff down under the water, so yeah, there’s tons of them. I don’t think they’re going to be out of storylines for a long time.”

Well, we totally agree with you, sir! Bring Namor, and heck cast Dwayne the Rock Johnson as the King of Atlantis. But more importantly, bring Silver Surfer and Galactus. Norrin Radd is obviously a bonus that comes in with the Devourer of Worlds. Also, give us a great Doctor Doom as that is what we need.

X-Men MCU Kevin Feige

But all this is something that will follow after a while, Kevin Feige has been very clear with when we could expect these characters. He has confirmed that Marvel currently has a 5-year plan and it will be only after that the X-Men & Fantastic Four come into play. Feige told io9:

Avengers: Endgame Galactus MCU

“It’ll be a while. It’s all just beginning and the five-year plan that we’ve been working on, we were working on before any of that was set. So really it’s much more, for us, less about specifics of when and where [the X-Men will appear] right now and more just the comfort factor and how nice it is that they’re home. That they’re all back. But it will be a very long time.”

Let’s just hope that Marvel makes a move on these characters soon.
