Avengers: Endgame World Premiere Didn’t Play Post Credits Scene(s)

Avengers: Endgame is only 2 days away but the lucky Chinese people are enjoying the film already! The world premiere has already happened and the critical verdict of the movie is in. This is the finale we asked for, but it is so much more. The critics and fans who have seen the film are hailing it to be a masterpiece. The Ending of the movie is said to be the best of all, but what’s funny is that the premiere didn’t show the entirety of it, i.e. the post-credits scenes were missing.

Coming from Comicbook.com’s Brandon Davis, we don’t know how many post-credits scenes will be there in the film, or will there be any at all, as Marvel didn’t show those scenes. But Davis still assures people that there would be certain stuff put back at the end. Here’s what he wrote on Twitter:

“For those asking, I don’t know if Avengers: Endgame has a post-credits scene. They cut the credits for a cast speech, so there may be one for release. Stay seated.”

Well, considering how big this film is going to be and the fact that it has the responsibility to set up futures for multiple characters, we could actually assume that this film takes a page out of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s book. That movie showed us 5 different post-credits scenes, and even in Avengers: Endgame, there could be more than just 1 or 2. Marvel could afford to have none of those extra scenes, but for that, the ending will have to suffice each and everything!

There are films that are already under works, and Spider-Man: Far From Home is just 2 months away from its release, so we could at least expect one scene from that film. Other than that there could be a tribute to Stan Lee at the very end, or perhaps the Eternals could be introduced since they are also getting a prequel story next year.

Other than that, if Thor survives, then we could get a tease for what Thor is up to and that will lead us into Thor 4. Similar to that, we could get one for Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2 or perhaps Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But there is a great possibility that a new villain could rise to be the next big bad of the MCU.

So the bottom line is, that anything could happen after the credits or nothing could happen. But this was probably a tactical move made by Marvel in order to prevent spoilers as the first thing that people spoil on the internet are the post-credits scenes. So, not enabling people to see them was probably the best choice made by Marvel.

Here’s the new synopsis of Avengers: Endgame:

“Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War, and half the life in the universe instantly dissolved. Now a ragged group of surviving warriors, including Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk works to counteract the Mad Titan’s genocidal action.

Since our heroes couldn’t stop Thanos the first time, what makes them think they can win in a rematch? The answer may be in overwhelming power, thanks to Captain Marvel, or in the tiniest spaces between atoms accessible to Ant-Man. Avengers: Endgame will rewrite the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. When it’s all over, nothing will be the same.”
