It is just crazy to think about the precautions that the creatives of Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War took in order to prevent secrets. Sure we know quite a few now as a courtesy of the merchandise, and digital marketing but if it were up to the directors Joe & Anthony Russo, we might have only got just one or two trailers as they considered doing no marketing at all. Well now we’ve seen a significant amount of footage, but the good thing is that all of that is from the first half of the film.
So yea, the Directors and other creatives have gone to great lengths to keep things secret. Most of the actors didn’t get scripts. Some who did want to read the full scripts were put into a van and were only allowed to read them at one go. Even then a few scripts were fake. Poor ol’ Paul Bettany who’s dyslexic, spent 12-14 hours of a day reading two scripts which were actually fake! Only the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr. and probably Evans & Hemsworth got the full real scripts, just because they needed to know the entire story of the film.
People like Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland were only given their lines, and that too either at the set or a few days prior. Tom Holland actually didn’t know that Spidey was going to die until the day he shot that scene. So, the moment where he “didn’t feel so good,” was totally improvised. Well, now we’ve got a new piece of info that gives us the idea that even the ones who got the full script don’t exactly know how Avengers: Endgame will turn out. They may have an idea, but they won’t know the full story because Mark Ruffalo has given us a new piece of info.
He spoke to E! along with Chris Evans and Karen Gillan (Nebula), and he told them how he had to shoot multiple endings for the film. And what’s fun about them is that Cap actually got married in one of those. Here’s what Ruffalo said:
“I shot, like, five different endings to this movie. I didn’t even get a whole script of this movie. I don’t know why. The script I did get had dummy scenes in it. He [pointing to Chris Evans] gets married in this!”
Just imagine if this scene which Mark has revealed actually happens, and Cap somehow gets married. Mark is going to be so screwed as he’s revealed yet another major spoiler. This will make it his third major spoiler for 3 consecutive movies. If you want to know the biggest spoiler revealed by him, then click here. Also since Mark has shot different versions of the movie’s ending, then we at least know that the Hulk won’t die midway.
Directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame will open on April 26, and it’ll presumably star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Renner Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Danai Gurira, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tessa Thompson, Evangeline Lilly, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Katherine Langford, Stellan Skarsgard, Ava Russo and Brie Larson.
Here’s the new synopsis of Avengers: Endgame:
“Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War, and half the life in the universe instantly dissolved. Now a ragged group of surviving warriors, including Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk works to counteract the Mad Titan’s genocidal action.
Since our heroes couldn’t stop Thanos the first time, what makes them think they can win in a rematch? The answer may be in overwhelming power, thanks to Captain Marvel, or in the tiniest spaces between atoms accessible to Ant-Man. Avengers: Endgame will rewrite the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. When it’s all over, nothing will be the same.”
I just have the biggest passion for everything cinematic! I want to share this passion with everyone through my writing about Hollywood Movies and TV. Other than that, I am a big sports fanatic and enthusiast. I’d like to write about my favorite sports as well some day.
