New Photo Leaks of Shazam! Reveal Superman is Making a Cameo

The newest movie to enter the fray under the DC Extended Universe banner is Shazam! – World’s Mightiest Mortal. Zachary Levi plays the eponymous character in the movie that is all about heart, soul, and superpowers. The early screening reactions of Shazam have been overwhelmingly positive and rightfully so. David Sandberg, Director of the movie, has done a wonderful job.

But the movie is not just good because it has humour and action in the right amount, Shazam is also the movie that has the superhero cameo appearance of one of the DCEU’s strongest warriors. According to the latest photo leaks from the early screenings of the movie, the Man of Steel of the DCEU aka the Last Son of Krypton is coming to Shazam in a post credits sequence. Presenting – New Photo leaks of Shazam reveal Superman is making a Cameo!!!!!

To make things clear, there is no concrete proof to justify that it is Henry Cavill that is in the suit. The scene, if the rumors are to be trusted, appears at the very end of the movie, perhaps even a Post Credits sequence. Since the face of Superman is not shown, it could be a body double playing the part of the Man of Steel in the movie. This news also coincides with the news of Henry Cavill’s supposed departure from the Worlds of DC movies.

The scene has a rather hilarious touch to it. The backstory is that Freddy Freeman is trying to convince his school friends that he actually knows Shazam as a friend. Naturally, no one believes him. So the next day, Billy Batson comes to School in Shazam form and sits beside Freddy Freeman. But Billy has done one better. Upping the ante, Shazam has also invited one of his super friends to accompany him to school. The man that he has invited to sit with them in the School’s canteen in lunch hour is none other than Clark Kent aka Superman. Superman reportedly says’ “Is this seat taken?” before he sits beside the two.

It has been a while since a DC movie has got such rave reviews and unanimous applause from the viewers. The first time such deep appreciation for a DCEU movie happened was when Wonder Woman was released. The last time it happened was with Aquaman, which has become the first DCEU movie to cross the coveted One Billion Dollar mark to become one of the most successful superhero movies and one of the most profitable superhero origin stories in the history of the Hollywood movie making industry.

Shazam! Superman

Shazam! is being claimed to be the best DCEU movie to date. Does this mean it will be more critically acclaimed than Wonder Woman was and more financially sound than Aquaman could ever be? Only time can tell us the answer. For now, we are just happy that Superman is about to make an appearance in Shazam!

The last movie to be featured under the DCEU banner was Aquaman. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:

Once home to the most advanced civilization on Earth, the city of Atlantis is now an underwater kingdom ruled by the power-hungry King Orm. With a vast army at his disposal, Orm plans to conquer the remaining oceanic people — and then the surface world. Standing in his way is Aquaman, Orm’s half-human, half-Atlantean brother and true heir to the throne. With help from royal counselor Vulko, Aquaman must retrieve the legendary Trident of Atlan and embrace his destiny as protector of the deep.

Shazam! Superman

Superman made his first appearance under the DCEU banner in Man of Steel of 2013. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:

With the imminent destruction of Krypton, their home planet, Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and his wife seek to preserve their race by sending their infant son to Earth. The child’s spacecraft lands at the farm of Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, who name him Clark and raise him as their own son. Though his extraordinary abilities have led to the adult Clark (Henry Cavill) living on the fringe of society, he finds he must become a hero to save those he loves from a dire threat.
