Avengers: Endgame Will Reveal The Soul Stone Killed Thanos

Avengers: Endgame –

When we say Thanos is unstoppable, everyone would agree. The guy did not even flinch or take a step back when he made the Earth’s mightiest heroes bite the dust in Avengers: Infinity War. He brought the Hulk down using his brute strength and outsmarted the greatest minds of magic and science of Earth. Thanos is truly an unstoppable force that is yet to meet an immovable object.

But looks like in Avengers: Endgame, he will finally meet his end. But rest assured, it will not be a hero that kills him. It will be something that nobody would have even managed to predict by now. It turns out one of the Infinity Stones will kill Thanos in the next Avengers flick. Presenting – Avengers: Endgame will reveal the Soul Stone killed Thanos!!

According to this fan theory, the Soul Stone is going to be the reason Thanos breathes his last and final breath in Endgame. The theory was first posted on Reddit and has since made quite a few rounds over the internet. This theory takes us back to the mysterious and lonely world of Vormir – the Kree out world planet that was the home of the Soul Stone.

At what looked like a sacrificial altar, the Mad Titan sacrificed the thing he loved the most – Gamora and got hold of the Soul Stone. According to this theory, another Marvel superhero is also going to venture to the planet of Vormir. If this theory is true, the Soul Stone is unlike any other Infinity Stone we have ever seen. Nebula will be traveling to Vormir to get a hold of that Soul Stone.

But how!!

Turns out, the Soul Stone is not a static object. It is the only Infinity Stone that has shown some amount of sentience at a cosmic level to judge its wielder before submitting its powers. If that is true, then what about the possibility that the Soul Stone only comes to those who made the sacrifice the last.

What if – Nebula has figured out the fact that it is not the Soul Stone that chooses the wielder but the sacrificial altar that does it for everyone? If Nebula banks on this theory, she will have to take the help of the entire surviving force of the Avengers for her to reach there as, if Nebula could figure this out, so can Thanos the Mad Titan.

One factor that intriguingly supports that theory is the scene where Gamora’s dead body lies on the ground, with blood stains from previous sacrifices scattered around her. This means that there were more sacrifices at that altar and Thanos was neither the first one to wield the Soul Stone nor was he the last.

If Nebula could sacrifice what she revered and loved the most, the odds would favour the good guys this time as the Soul Stone would return back to the Avengers. While this theory does sound pretty interesting, we will have to wait until Avengers: Endgame releasing two months later to figure out its legitimacy.
