‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Early Concept Art Reveals Alternate Look of Gamora

A different look of Gamora has been revealed through an early concept art of Guardians of the Galaxy and for me, this look is quite cool and intense than the one we got in the movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in all these years. Concept arts are getting huge attention nowadays as there are a lot of people and fans who want to see alternate looks of their favourite characters.

Guardians of the Galaxy Gamora

Recently, one of the most famous illustrators, Andy Park, a very well-known comic book artist who keeps sharing his piece of work on the internet on regular basis has shared a very interesting concept art of Gamora which if approved, could have made it to the big screen. But, like most of the concept art, this concept art was rejected by the makers for some reasons.

The concept art is down below and you can have a look at it as without a doubt you’re going to like this one because of the intensity of this concept art. Also, Andy Park wrote along with the picture,

“Here’s another alternate concept design I did of Gamora on the first Guardians of the Galaxy,” Park wrote on his Instagram account where he shared the concept art.

We all know that in the comics, Gamora has got a completely different look compared to the one we saw in the movies as her hair has a famous white streak à la Rogue instead of the reddish hair which we all love a lot and also her face has some parts which resemble the ultimate look of Gamora’s sister, Nebula. The picture of Gamora’s appearance in Marvel Comics back in 1975 is down below and you’ll see all the comparisons of her appearance in the comic books and her appearance in the movie.

Well, I have to say that I really liked the way Park presented Gamora in the concept art and I have to say it is far better than the look of Gamora we’ve got and the reason of this brilliance is the connection which Park has with the audience of Marvel Studios as he knows the background of superheroes and the taste of the fans.

Park begin his career when he started working as a concept artist for Extreme Studios, which we all know is a division of Image Comics. In 2010, he joined the Visual Development team of Marvel Studios and since then has been part of some of the very big movies of the MCU as he has worked in movies like The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther. Also, Park has been the visual development supervisor in the projects like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, Thor: Ragnarok, Ant-man and the Wasp, and also in the upcoming movie of MCU, Captain Marvel.

So, there are a lot of interesting and amazing movies coming your way and no wonder fans will be waiting for some amazing images from Andy Park in the recent future just like this. But, we have to say that if we would have this look on the screen of Gamora then it would’ve been more incredible than the current look.

But, keeping the greed in the locker, I have to say that we should be quite happy with the kind of appearance of Gamora we’ve got as Zoe Saldana looks quite incredibly perfect in that character. Also, we all are waiting to see what the future holds for Gamora in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame as there are chances that all the characters who have turned into dust are going to be resurrected again but Gamora’s future is hazy. Well, in order to find that answer we have to wait a little more.
