Can it be true? This is like a dream for a lot of Iron Man fans. Tony Stark has sacrificed so much for the betterment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And all he has got in return is blood, toil, sweat, and tears. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has not been kind to Iron Man. He has lost a lot of allies, personal space, peace of life and his love life is in utter shambles now. After losing his protégé Spider-Man in a heart-wrenching scene in Avengers: Infinity War, the armored avenger has almost had it. He needs a reprieve from all the pain and agony.
With Robert Downey Junior’s contract with the MCU coming to an end, we may not be able to see much of Iron Man now. Endgame will probably be his last entourage. And that leaves us one simple question to answer – what about Iron Man’s legacy? After everything he has done for the MCU, protecting the Earth from all kinds of threats, is this how Marvel aims to say farewell to the most memorable comic book character in Marvel Cinematic Universe history?!?!? Turns out, there is more to it than what meets the eye. Tony Stark might be on his way to becoming a parent folk!
Avengers: Endgame may be far away but the fans are ever vigilant. The release date of Avengers: Endgame draws ever closer. What we know up until now is that the Avengers, what has left of them anyway, will be up against a threat far greater than the Mad Titan. They will be aiming to undo the wrongs inflicted by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. And they have to succeed. But the fans cannot wait till April to get hold of the final conclusion to the fantastic Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest phase.
They need fan theories to sustain them for that long. And one of them, backed by the infinite toy line leaks and acting crew slip-ups (we are looking at you Gwyneth Paltrow) has managed to peek its head above the surface. And it involves a certain someone who might be related to the armored avenger.
Gwyneth Paltrow was recently all over the news for a controversial slip up made a few days back. There were many theories regarding a mini Tony Stark being in the pipeline. Gwyneth Paltrow is not someone to slip up that easily but she did and the results within the fan base are downright catastrophic. Maybe you still do not get the gravity of the situation here – Tony Stark has an actual possibility of becoming a father in the next Avengers movie. If that does not excite you, we are sorry to inform you that you have a heart made out of tin.
Coupled with toy line leaks and general fan theories, the Gwyneth Paltrow reveals changes everything for the MCU as we know it. In Avengers: Infinity War, Iron Man asked her directly if she was pregnant and Pepper Potts said no. But this has implications. Marvel is actually putting the idea into the viewer’s mind that there is a very real probability of this happening in the future. Paltrow, when in an interview, was asked the same question regarding her characters’ pregnancy status and she gave quite a vague but uplifting reply. As of now, we are more inclined to trust Gwyneth Paltrow over Pepper Potts over this news.
This changes things. A LOT!!
In Infinity War, Tony Stark was pretty direct when he described his then-recent dream to Pepper and said that it was about Pepper becoming the mother to his son called Morgan. The Russo Brothers – Joe and Anthony Russo, Co-Directors of the Infinity War movie, have confirmed that Tony’s Morgan dream was just a dream and the couple are not going to have a son. But wait we have more news for you!! We said Tony Stark is not going to have a son. We never said anything about him not being lucky enough to have a daughter.
The Russos were pretty cryptic when they explained Tony’s dream of having a son being false and it will never materialize into a reality. But here’s the thing – Morgan is a gender-neutral name. It can be used for both a boy and a girl. The Russos said that Tony’s dream was at best “mysterious” and this means that they are not denying what we are left to ponder upon. The Starks are going to welcome their first daughter in Avengers: Endgame.
There is going to be a lot of time jumps in Avengers: Endgame. With time travel being a major aspect of the next Avengers movie, expect a lot of unknown elements to pop up now. Katherine Langford has become a part of the Marvel crew for Avengers: Endgame. No one knows what role she is playing. If we are left to our own devices, we could say that with her signature red hair and blue-tinged eyes, she looks like the perfect future daughter of Pepper Potts.
Moreover, with Time Travel not being just about traveling to the past but also the future, Iron Man could end up in the latter and have along interaction with the future armored avenger who has taken up the role of Iron Woman just like her father. The reason for them traveling to the future could be many – maybe they need information or some tech that still has not been developed yet. But the end result is the same – Iron Man meets his daughter Morgan.
The first rule of Time Travel is – never meet anyone that is related to you in any way in the future. If you do, you are jeopardizing the very existence of your future loved ones. Tony, if he meets Morgan in the future, will now know that the slightest changes in his actions now would lead to tremendous changes in the time stream. This would put the life of his future daughter at risk. To stop that from happening, Tony might have to sacrifice himself, just so that he could ensure the survival of his daughter.
Tony is known to be the sacrificial type, he has already proven his mettle in that area in the past, when he personally drove the Shield Super bomb through the portal and into the heart of the Chitauri Armada in The Avengers of 2012. Expect a lot of tears to flood the theatres when that happens. If Tony’s daughter does come into the picture, the armored avenger has to sacrifice his own life to protect his legacy from turning into dust.
It I not to say that the theory is completely true! There are several loopholes in this one as well. But all the facts and figures as well as the news that Katherine Langford has just dyed her hair red right before the reshoots for Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame took place all point to the simple fact – Iron Man is going to have a daughter pretty soon. The only question is – are you ready to handle the feels when it finally happens??
